At my one week I was told to go ahead with crackers because they become dust basically as you eat them.... I wish doctors would all get on board.

  10. That sharp pain is a form of dumping. It's your body saying to stop eating what you're eating! Any time you get that pain whatever you had was a big no no

  12. I'm 2 weeks post op and I just don't want to eat. Nothing seems good to me and I'm never hungry. I know this is bad! Any ideas?
  13. I ate 5 hours ago though? I just drank half a cup of iced tea. Maybe that's it?
  14. I'm two weeks post op tomorrow and whenever my belly hurts it's below my belly button to the far left. Well tonight it hurts like crazy. I can't even squat down. Is this normal? I'm scared it might be something else.

I know it sucks but it's totally worth it! And honestly you get more than what many others get! I couldn't have yogurt or any of that. My chocolate shakes I added flavour extracts like coconut, orange or banana and that helped big time!

I talked to my nurse yesterday and she said crackers are a go. She said that because they crumble and turn to powder they're perfect! So I celebrated with crackers and red pepper hummus last night for supper. YUM!
  17. My surgeon told me that they will not do the surgery if someone has been smoking within 6 months of the surgery and that you should never smoke ever again.
  18. btw GREAT job on losing 45lbs so far!
  19. Where you from hun? Maybe you can meet someone from on here to be your support? I'm really sorry that your support system is lacking. I know it can be a huge part of this process. Maybe you can find something that'll turn things around. Like whatever your next size is maybe by a smokin pair of jeans that you can wear for that couple of weeks (see if you can find some at Wally World or Sally Anne) and it'll make you feel that much better. I hope that you can get your umph back. I'm here if you ever want to chat!
  20. I have no idea how my boyfriend survived my pre-op diet!
  21. I meant what did you eat? And 3 weeks post op? really?? ouch. I can start pureed food at 1 week post op
  22. What did you start with for pureed food?
  23. awesome! thanks! I made my chili - but after 4 weeks of all "sweet" protein shakes and I found it crazy salty and it's all low sodium stuff (except for the tomatoes from a can). Hopefully once I blend it the chicken and the beans will level it out. Can't wait to eat it
