  1. My max muscle let me try all the max pro protein drinks. I just brought my own milk.
  2. Yes it tastes like an orange push up pop. I can choke it down with just 4oz of milk. Tell then you heard about them from a barker patient!
  3. I did not see one in Houston, but give the Plano or Rockwall store a call. He has said he will ship. Just let them know you are a bariatric patient. http://www.maxmusclentx.com/ I use their max pro orange Protein shake. I also use the b12 and the all in one Vitamin powder.
  4. Yes I have had that pain. Moving around helps. It will take time and the pain will go away.
  5. You can go online to max muscle. It is the max pro shakes. We have a max muscle chain here in the Dallas area.
  6. I found a protein shake that is 30g of protein with just 4oz of liquid. It is from max muscle. They said I should be getting about 100g due to my activity level. I drink the shake in the morning and if I need to one at night. The rest I am relying on food. I am like you during this stall the weight stayed the same, but my clothes fit better. I have tried really hard not to pay attention to the scale and focus on the inches.
  7. I have been at a stall for the past couple of months. I made a New Years resolution to increase my protein and do better about doctors orders. I was getting 40-50g of protein a day. Now I am getting 90-100g. Not only do I feel really good, but my weight loss has started again.
  8. Eventually you will be able to eat anything you want. Your head will tell you take one more bite it is SOOOO GOOOD. However you take that bite and your stomach proudly says that was the dumbest thing you have ever done and your punishment will be to send it in reverse. Trust me after throwing up a few things you learn to listen to the tiny voice in your stomach - he is always right over the voice in your head. Please remember you will eventually be able to eat anything you want, but the key is learning portion control.
  9. My doc said do not worry about calories. So I think mine is set to 900, but I hardly ever reach it. I have been told there are 4 calories to very 1g of protein.
  10. I also think when we finally relax about everything the stalls break. I realized when I stalled that I was still losing inches. Also a I begin to increase my workouts I am building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. Your body is doing exactly what it needs to in order to lose the weigh and get you healthy. Relax and stay off the scale!
  11. I second that statement. I have been big breasted all my life and I am ready to see them gone. Not worth the pain and problems.
  12. Wow this is a loaded question as there was so much that surprised me. Positives My confidence. My feeling of being sexy Enjoying buying sexy underwear Sex with my husband - wow it is like we are newlyweds again, but it is 10X better Realizing people are looking at me because I look good, and because I am fat Negatives Head hunger Being sick the first two months - nothing stayed down Emotions - being out of control and crying at the drop of a hat Family dinners - hard to watch family eat when you can not eat much
  13. As I sit here in my newly purchased thrift store shirt and jacket I am now itchy. I did wash mine immediately when I got home - so I should be ok.
  14. I started out as a 44F and I am glad to see then go. I am at a 38DDD right now. I will need a breast lift though. Right now they look like deflated balloons.
  15. Yes and I hate to say this but it will get a lot worse before it gets better. As we loose the weight estrogen that is stored in the fat cells are released. I was a basket case for several months. However it does get better! Hang in there and go tell mom you are sorry. Oh and stay away from sad movies or romantic movies - those sent me over the edge! Go have a good cry and a good laugh with mom.
  16. I am a southern girl as well, but sweet tea is just way too sweet now. Sorry
  17. I moved on to ice tea. It has the caffeine fix I need from time to time with hardly any calories.
  18. Trust me after surgery coke hurts to drink. I have a few sips every once In a while, but each time it hurts.
  19. Egg whites. You can add them to water and you don't taste it. Don't go to the grocery store to get them you need to get them online or at a health food store.
  20. My doc said straws were ok to use. I was given straws while in the hospital after surgery.
  21. My first thought was female pain. Maybe your ovaries.
  22. My doc said be weary of protein bars as they have a lot of things we don't need to eat. He said if you are on the go he understands eating them every once in a while, but they should not be part of you regular diet
  23. I was a big water drinker before surgery and it was tough for several months getting used to not drinking as much. Just get in as much as you can. After surgery it is the #1 thing to do.
