  1. WOW Katie!!! You have done so well! Inspirational!!!!!
  2. I had mine done on 8/20 and I still have pain especially on the left side. Sitting up is murder...so is laughing, coughing and sneezing. Other than that I'm ok....having pain for a few weeks is normal and everyone is different.
  3. Thanks ladies! My friend said it wasn't about the fruit itself or the texture but more the seeds. Shes telling me that the seeds could get caught in the staple line inside my stomach or something... I dunno. It sounds a bit ridiculous but hey with this surgery a lot of things are. Anyhow, I think I will buy some and try. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right?? Lol (so sick of the plain shakes!)
  4. I think so. Everyones body is different 2 people of the same weight and height can still have a different body type. Everyone carries their weight differently. Don't judge your body by someone else's...your goal weight should be based on how you feel when you look in the mirror as long as its healthy.
  5. Are we allowed to eat strawberries or raspberries at 2 weeks out? I want to blend a few into my shake but someone told me that was a no-no. My surgeon or nutritionist never mentioned them and they are closed for the holiday....anyone been told not to for any reason?? Thanks!
  6. Lil sips at a time and it has to be very cold.
  7. I was told 3 weeks...I have that weird skin glue. It's 90+ degrees in NYC clear skies...I wish I can go to the beach!!!
  8. I believe you need protein to build muscle and you need healthy muscles to burn fat so protein should equal weightloss. Here is something that my nutritionist added in my sample packet of protein and Vitamins.... Tastes a lil gross but it's 25 grams of protein in less than 3 oz.
  9. Awesome!! I love your wheel cover too!
  10. Welcome and congrats on all your victories! You're only 1 month out, healthier and wearing heels? Heeeey!
  11. Welcome Kelly!! You are going to love this forum...so many nice, caring people here!
  12. Surgery (8/20)- 225 lbs Last Friday- 211 lbs Today- 208 lbs
  13. My insurance accepted obesity help.com as support group as well as other online groups but every insurance is different.
  14. No I don't but I was able to finally get some rest by sealing everyone's spare pillows and lining some up behind and in front of me. I felt like I was in one of those baby positioners! Lol Thanks
  15. I'm only a lil over a week out and I eat just a couple of spoonfuls of bryer's 4 carb icecream. It satisfied my craving and not too bad of a cheat. I don't even think it would even be cheating.
  16. You look great! Good job on the 5k!!!
  17. Nice pic! Great progress!!!
  18. Happy birthday!!! What a wonderful news that you are feeling younger than your number!
