Hello everyone!!! My name is Tiffany and I'm from Richmond va and I also have two beautiful boys!!! I went into surgery on the 27 thinking I was getting the sleeve but once I was awake they told me they couldn't because I had a mass on the part of the stomach that was needed so they removed it... So with the sleeve out of the question I chose the bypass.... I got my bypass done on the 30 but I still have pains as far as getting out of bed and getting up from a chair! Is this normal??? I was also wondering if anyone was from around my area????? I was 280 not sure how much I am now bc I am swollen.... But my goal weight is 140-150......

i had surgery on the 24th and i still have pain on the left side.sounds normal to me good luck!! hope everything turnes out fine for you!!!

I had surgery 8/8/12 and still have pain on the left side, some days better then others tho..

I had surgery on the 22nd and still have pain as well. It's getting better day by day but still kinda hurts when I get outta bed or try to bend down.

I had mine done on 8/20 and I still have pain especially on the left side. Sitting up is murder...so is laughing, coughing and sneezing. Other than that I'm ok....having pain for a few weeks is normal and everyone is different.

I had surgery in feb ..and the pain for me lasted about a week and a half. I slept in a recliner for about that long. I does get better... Patience is the key in this whole process

Feel better soon. The pain will go away.
