  4. Woohoo karmagirl we r surgery buddies!!!!!!!
  5. Love reading everyone's updates! For some reason when I access the rnytalk website from my home computer it won't let me like anyone's post or reply to anything. It's a brand new alienware computer so it better not be messed up! So please don't think I'm not sharing in ur joys and also the fears LOL I have the sleep study tomorrow and final weigh in Wed, then submitting to insurance! Hopefully the hurricane doesn't kill the power and I can still have my final pre opt appt Fri!
  6. Shonabear, I wanna work where you do! LOL
  7. If you find the answer to handling the bounce from happy to scared let me know! LOL Welcome to the family!
  8. Relax and breathe! It will happen and everything will be great!
  9. Good luck!!! Remember chapstick and walking!
  10. Welcome to the family! We all have hit our breaking points, the point to which we know we need help. You were just not ready before, and now you are! Congrats!
  11. My husband and MIL know, I told one BFF and she was super supportive (has actually been my cheerleader!) then went to tell another BFF and did not get a welcome response, That made me gun shy. So I stopped telling anyone. Built up my courage again, told a GF whom I babysit for and found out that she had it done herself 3 years ago, however did not stick to it and has managed to put back on all her weight. Now I hear all the negatives from her and her husband every day I go over to watch their children. So back to being gun shy. I have evaluated my circle and realize, I have told the important people, so when I start loosing the weight, the folks who ask, will get the "portion control and low carbs" story, if they press, then I will go further, but am not offering it up first thing.
  12. I have only been into Old Navy to shop for my girls, kinda kicking myself for assuming their stuff wouldn't fit me! LOL
  13. THAT'S GOOD TO KNOW! LOL The last wedding I was in, my husbands bff, us girls were in platinum strapless full length dresses. Now again, I am fat, pale and have red hair....my fellow bridesmaids were cocoa skin and thin, lets talk about sore thumb! LOL Then! I was paired with the tallest groomsman ever! He was 6'2, I am 5'2 LOL Ralph Lauren blazer? You rock it girl! I have tried a few times to go into "regular" stores and picture myself in the outfits....it definitely induces anxiety! But happy anxiety! I fear I may need to get a job just to pay for the new clothes I will want! I can see myself being on hoarders already. I already have so many clothes for my 3 daughters that despite having 2 large closets with extenders, and 3 6 drawer dressers, I still pile the clothes on top of the dressers and have anywhere from 3-4, depending if there is a holiday, extra laundry baskets stacked up in their rooms. *hanging my head* I will most likely need intervention! LOL
  14. My bff is super supportive and has vowed to help me stay on track. She just informed me that she and her bf are getting married and of course My 3 daughters and myself are in the bridal party! What an extra huge incentive! I will have my surgery in November and then October of 2013 will be able to fit into a bridesmaid dress!!!!!! I am so excited!!! However, its not all rainbows and butterflies, on account of, I am still a very very very pale redhead LOL So fingers crossed she picks a color that will not make me look like a pimple ready to pop! LOL
  15. Welcome to the family...:-)
  16. "You're not big enough for surgery" That statement fires my a**. Would these people tell a drug addict who only does their drugs on the weekends that they don't need rehab? Would these people tell someone who only drinks after work they are not alcoholic enough for rehab? Grrrrrr Sorry for the vent. After us November folk have our surgeries, the naysayers can kiss our looking fine behind. :-)
