  1. My surgeon wants 64 oz a day 3-4 oz at a time.
  2. At my 2 week follow up they looked at my incisions(which were closed w Dermabond), weighed me, asked about Water an d Protein. Asked about any problems ( which I had none) and said see you in a month. Sorry to hear about the shitty staff. The staff really make a world of difference. Hope it works out for you.
  3. Did u mix extra powder into a premixed shake? That never seems to work. I hope u find something that works for you soon;)

  5. I was on full liquid week 1, but doc still said no pea soup....too high in carbs. He prefers to keep diet similar to Atkins, low sugar low carb, high protein. Good luck, each week gets easier:)
  6. Don't u have to do liquids for 48 hrs prior?
  7. I started taking actigall at 4 weeks, but I just swallow it. Is it too soon for you to swallow?

  10. I remember that gas pain...it was in my left shoulder! Hurt like hell. I came off the morphine and took Liquid Lortab, it helped a bit. Will they let u drink hot tea? Hot liquids seemed To help a bit. Hang in there, it's gonna be better tomorrow.

  12. Are you vomiting? At 5 days I was having sugar free Popsicles and fusgesicles, thinned out cream soup, broth and soy milk. Of course, protien ahakes.I was On full liquids, not clear liquids. Hang in there, it will get better:)
  13. How many calories do you get from Protein shakes? I tend to get 300 from protein and 300 from food most days. Maybe you can add some protein calories?
  14. Ouch, that does sound painful...I didn't have a drain, but I hear they are uncomfortable. I hope the staples are out soon....don't worry, you will get back to normal:)
  15. Did you have open RNY? I had lap...incisions were closed w Dermabond glue, so no staples. Hope you feel better soon:)

  17. My surgeon said no pasta, too many carbs.
  18. What are you allowed to eat 4 days post op? Usually it's liquids only at that stage...the pain when you try to eat is due to the swelling around the new pouch. Be careful if you are eating anything thick. Protein will make you feel better:)

  22. Came home w Lortab, extra strength. It was sting enough- pain is not bad, just uncomfortable. Drove after 1 week. Back to work after 2.5 Don't worry, you will be ok:)
  23. I was on liquids until 2 weeks. 3rd week Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, eggs. Today I started tuna.
  24. I use Premeire shakes too...the taste is good and there is a good amount of protein.
