  1. I am taking the ones with iron too but my doctor suggested that I do something more complete. I hate the Centrum chewables so still looking for something.
  2. Am so excited & had to share! We have had a boat for 5 summers now & I have avoided wearing a bathing suit when we go out on the lake. Today I wore a bathing suit & a fun cover up & it felt good. Feeling so much better in my skin & know that I made the right decision to have surgery!
  3. So frustrated....the scale has not changed in 2 weeks & I was losing 5-7 lbs per week & then it just stopped! I dont get it because I feel better in my clothes & people are telling me they see more & more of a difference.
  4. I am with you on the not wanting to eat. I am 5 weeks out & for the most part I have to force myself to eat my meals. I used to be a snacker & I have had none of that. I do have challenges with getting all my water in too...stomach hurts if I drink too much so I just can't get it all in. I added a protein drinking the morning to get 8 oz. in.
  5. Great job! Keep it up! I took the same approach & I am feeling great!
  6. Yes, mine felt better shortly after that. Hang in there!
  7. Had my surgery on a Wednesday, was off pain meds by Saturday, went out with my walking group at one week, & went back to work the next Monday. My only regret was going back to work full time so quickly. I was still really tired & it was hard to make it through the entire day. I am now at 5 weeks, feeling great & started running the other day. Best decision of my life to have this surgery!
  8. I have been stalled for over a week! Cannot get out of the 230's! Not giving up! It will come off slowly but surely!
  9. The scale had not moved for me in over a week but I keep having people tell me how much they notice the loss. I am doing lots of excercising & I am sure I am not getting enough of my liquids in. It is so hard!
  10. I got so sick today from eating too fast & too much! And it happened at work! Lesson learned at 4 weeks post-op!
  11. I am a little over 3 weeks post-op. Just started on some soft foods & really having a hard time. Feels like I have a big knot in my chest & hurts to drink anything. I am ready to go back to liquids! Tried to eat 1/2 scrambled egg today & it was horrible! Also have not had a BM for a week & have gained a couple of pounds. Should I be worried? Good news is that I fit into a pair of jeans that I bought a year ago & could never wear!
  12. I hear ya! I went to a horse show this weekend & was not prepared to stay as long as we did. The only thing I could eat (well, not really!) was vanilla ice cream. I had about a tablespoon & it went right through me! Yikes!
  13. I bake cakes & it is hard not to taste!!!
  14. Back pain was bad for me too. A friend of mine said that they kind of stretch you back on the surgery table. I think gas settles in your back too. Hope you feel better soon!
  15. Surgery date 4/18: 250.2 Friday: 237
  16. I am 2 weeks post op & still on liquids for another week! I am so tired of just liquids! Dying to try something more substantial!
  17. Down almost 10 lbs since surgery on 4/18. Yahoo! 250.2 down to 240.8
  18. I heard that is great too!
  19. Great ideas! Thanks!!! My doctor took me off my blood pressure med & at my one week checkup my blood pressure was normal! Yea! One less med to worry about!
  20. I had mixed feedback from people. For the mist part people were really excited for me & glad I was doing it. There were a few people that were shocked. My highest weight was 273 & now I am at 242. I lost most of it before surgery- some I was required to & then I wanted to go into surgery as healthy as I could. Bottom line is that everyone has their own personal reasons for deciding on surgery. Mine was that I have a family history of diabetes & heart disease, I was pre-diabetic, I had high blood pressure, I had border line sleep apnea, chronic foot & back problems. I have had a lifetime of being overweight and have tried every diet on earth. I lose some & then gain back more...such a vicious circle! Finally, my husband is morbidly obese & I really hope that by seeing how good I do, he will consider doing it himself!
