I had trouble with the yellow pills. Couldn't stomach the taste And Bariatric chewable Iron 60 mg (I was deficient and am now weaning down. Also the gummies don't have iron which I somehow missed) And my allergy meds Please remember I am banded awaiting revision. I expect these will change slightly since I tolerate most pills for now.
  2. Interesting. Worth a shot!
  3. Crying is the release of emotion. That just confirms everything you've been through! Congrats!
  4. I think you jumped on too soon. Next time will be better. Remember, your body is healing and will try to hang on to everything for as long as possible before letting go. Hang in there!
  5. It seems everyone I've watched go through gbp has a period where the body seems to adjust. They thin, then grow back. And they are religious about vitamins. Maybe it's more the body adapting that makes it fall out. But I do agree...bald and skinny isnt in!
  6. I gave it up. Just didn't feel like finding a suitable creamer that I like. But it's always been something I could take or leave it. Never really liked cappachino (?sp) either so I will leave the coffee proteins alone too
  7. I happened across it last night online. Not from the app. You are the leader thus far! It's on the right hand side of the forum page.
  8. Where can we track points? I see on the website the list of leaders but I'm not even listed
  9. In response to the weekly challange, here is a new recipe we tried this weeked. 1/2 cup sliced scallions 1 TB grated ginger 2 TB cilantro 2 TSP hot pepper sauce juice of 1 lime 1 1/2 TSP jerk seasoning 1/2 cinnamon 1 TB extra-virgin olive oil 3 jalapeno peppers seeded and chopped 1 TSP black peper 1/2 TSP Kosher salt 1/2 TSP red pepper flakes 2 cloves garlic 2 TB brown sugar substitute 1 TB apple cider vinegar 1 TB orange juice 2 TSP worcestershire sauce 4 4-ounce chicken breast 4 4-ounce chicken thighs (no bones, no skin) Combine all the ingrediants (except the chicken) in a food processor and blend until almost smooth. Coat the chicken and place into slow cooker to marinate overnight for 12 hours. Cook on low for 5 or 6 hours. For more heat, leave in the seeds but i thought it was "warm" without them. Calories 146.52; Protein 19.67; Carbs 1.78; Total fats 6.14; Sat fats 1.37; Cholesterol 62.46; Sodium 322.21; Sugars 0.52; Fiber 0.3 Be sure not to overcook (I did) The chicken was a little dry but still very tasty! I used some fresh herbs and some dried. My family and I have been trying about 1 new recipe a week and so far I haven't made 1 they didn't like! BTW, this is a regular texture food.
  10. Welcome! This is a forum of great, fantastic people!
  11. So the Karma Sutra would be out post-op for awhile??? Sorry! Just had to add. I'm glad someone can ask the question we are all thinking!
  12. Ensure does make a high protein shake in vanilla and chocolate. 25 grams protein and 5 sugar. Found at Walmart. RD actually recommended since I wasn't getting enough. Very good taste. I don't care much for vanilla but if you add sf caramel or hazelnut syrup makes them better.
  13. Welcome! It's a big step, but we are all here to support you!
  14. I've heard it's from the ketones produced from burning fat!
  15. Last week 206 This week 205 Been a crazy week! I will take it! Looking forward to see everyone's progress. It makes me all warm inside 
  16. A friend just told me the same thing about the left side pains. I am not looking forward to the gas/shoulder pain at all. I have had 2 belly surgeries and despite moving and walking, still had to deal with that. Glad everything is well! Congrats!
  17. Can't wait for my revision! Good luck and here's to a quick recovery!!
  18. Not only will it prevent complications, it will show you are dedicated to the lifestyle changes you will make. Hang in there! You can do it!
  19. Too funny!!! Congrats!
  20. I would say the truth. I had surgery. Their response would be what I would more deflect. Anything that I consider insulting would be said so on the spot. I'm a very open person and you never know when you might be helping someone come to a decision about themselves.
  21. Awesome news! Prayers for continued healing coming your way!
  22. Prayers to both of you. Good luck!
