  1. I had a sore ass from the most uncomfortable hospital bed in the world. It felt like a sofa bed,
  2. Yeah, come to think of it they sent me home with the one I used and I never looked at it again.
  3. I just used the one in the hospital. Buying one never occurred to me.
  4. I'm working my way through a case of the apple-melon flavor, which is the only one I can stand.
  5. Um, you should see your doc immediately.
  6. I left my team behind when I moved out of Houston. I don't have anyone here.
  7. Sorry, they all suck. Premier Protein is the only one I can tolerate.
  8. MFP has a recipe builder where you can enter your own recipe and get the stats per serving. MFP has a recipe builder where you can enter your own recipe and get the stats per serving. I just discovered that MFP can import recipes from other sites. My chicken Parm Soup from Food52 is under 200 calories.

  10. I ate steak and roasted asparagus before starting my 2 week liquid pre-op diet.
  11. I cook 2-3 times a week and make enough for leftovers. Tonight is Slow Cooker chicken Parmesan Soup. We have "scrounge" nights where we will just find something frozen or cook some eggs or whatever. I cook for myself and my son. Hubby cannot eat by mouth and is on a feeding tube permanently.
  12. I'm trying out a new recipe -- Slow Cooker chicken Parmesan Soup.
  13. Sorry you're having these problems. Are you on a PPI like Omeprazole? You might ask your surgeon if it could help. I had a HIDA scan two weeks ago. I found it more boring than uncomfortable. Just having to lie there and be still for so long. It wouldn't have been so bad if I had my Kindle with me. Good luck and I hope you feel better.
  14. I think a lot of us use My Fitness Pal. You can do it online or use a phone app.
  15. I'm making a roasted turkey breast, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, green Beans, and apple pie. I plan to try a bite or two of everything, but we will see how that goes.
  16. I find that those Isopure Zero Carb clear drinks go down better with lots of ice and a shot of vodka.
  17. Really? One day and you are already freaked? I think you need to calm down, relax, and follow your post op instructions. Surgery, no matter what it is, involves discomfort or even pain. I'm sorry to be blunt, but get a grip. You will feel better soon.
  18. I had a similar issue early on. It passed pretty quickly. I just had to force myself to drink my Protein drinks and Water. Sipping chicken broth seasoned with rosemary & thyme helped settle my stomach.
  19. I had to quit 15 years ago for spinal surgery. The neurosurgeon told me my bone transplant might not take if I continued smoking. I used Patches. Man, those things gave me some crazy azz dreams if I forgot to take it off before bed.
  20. No difference for me, unfortunately.
  21. You are doing great! One day at a time with the Water...you'll be gulping it down before you know it.
  22. @@Dub no way are you going to do that. You 'da man! Love your new av, btw.
  23. That is an interesting opinion. I have nothing against Protein bars. If I could find one that didn't taste like crap and didn't give me major gas I would be all over it.
  24. My mother-in-law gave me a gift certificate for a day spa. I have never been comfortable with things like that so I am giving it to my sister. I know this is rooted in low self esteem, but whatever.
  25. I have an account. Where in there did you go to find out? When was your info sent in? I don't want to be too pushy. It's taken all I have to restrain myself from calling! Hmm, don't exactly recall. I would look but I no longer have BCBSTX. It seems to me I either emailed or put in a support request on how to find out, they responded, and I took it from there. Is there a section regarding documents or something?
