  1. I've been very careful to not rub my eyes after putting a patch on. I've made that mistake before. Did you have the patch too?
  2. So after 2 months of not smoking I caved in and had a cigarette yesterday. Dumb I know. Nicotine stays in your system for up to 4 days. Did anyone get screened for nicotine (or any other drug) on the day of surgery? My surgery is in 4 days and I'm worried that it'll come up.
  3. When I first had my sleeve I was extremely nauseous, retching, and vomiting for about 24 hours. I finally got them to give me zofran and that made a huge difference. This time, with a different surgeon, they have me on a scopolamine patch for one week prior to surgery. Does anyone have any experience with scopolamine and did it help with your nausea?
  4. I am at my goal weight of 175~180. I have to revise to RNY due to intractable GERD. Has anyone else reviewed at their goal weight? What I really want to know is how much weight loss should I expect. If you have revised, how many pounds did you lose. Thanks in advance for your answers!
  5. I'm in the same situation as you are. I'm having a revision February 11th.
  6. How was your endoscopy?I have grade b esophagitis which is 2 steps away from Barretts.
  7. Were you at your goal weight or did you have some to lose? I'm pretty much at my goal weight which is 180. I'm 6 feet tall. If I lose 30 pounds I'm going to look sickly. I know that I'm going to lose a lot in the first month and I'm really worried. Going to a nutritionist to see if I should pack on some weight so I have weight to lose.
  8. I cannot have fundoplication because I was sleeved and there is no stomach to wrap around the esophagus. https://www.uhhospitals.org/for-clinicians/articles-and-news/articles/2018/05/multiple-choices-for-gerd-whats-in-a-name
  9. I see that Lynda486 had a bad experience with Chantix but it was great for me. No cravings at all! Very vivid dreams are a side effect but they're not always nightmares.
  10. What protein shakes do you like the best? Do you buy prepackages shakes or are you making them with a tub of protein?
  11. I looked into LINX but my insurance considers it experimental and does not cover it.
  12. I've posted this before but am hoping to hear back from some others. I am having a sleeve to bypass revision due to severe GERD. I am currently at my goal weight. I weigh 180 and am 5'11". Has anyone else had a revision due to GERD while at goal weight? I can only imagine I'm going to lose significant weight during my liquid and puree phases of the past-op diet. How much more weight did you lose? Thanks in advance for your answers. J
  13. I had a sleeve done in 2013. I lost a ton of weight and am very happy with the resuIts. I lost 120 pounds and have kept it off. The problem is that it gave me terrible GERD to the point where medication no longer helps. I've seen multiple doctors and they all say I need surgery to correct the GERD before it becomes pre-cancerous. The surgery to correct the GERD is a gastric bypass. I'm already at my goal weight of 175 and I'm scared that I'll loose too much weight. Has anyone experienced this too? I'm looking for feedback.
