  1. ReadyNew, Ok, I got my official date! I will be sleeved October 9th!!! I'm very excited AND nervous. I have pre-open on the third. It will consist of meeting with the good ole doc that puts you to sleep, blood draw, 15 min meeting with doctor, 15 min meeting with dietician, and a prince screen to test for tobacco. That's how it is here for the program I am in in Albany, New York with Albany Medical Center. They said between all of it it is about 2-3 hours. I'll keep you updated! Hope all is well! I will be posting my before pictures soon.
  2. Thanks Tabbatha, I'm doing the happy dance as well. Lol. I will keep you and everyone updated on my journey. My start height and weight (I'm a male) was 5`7 and weight July 10th at weigh in was 251, weigh in yesterday when scheduled for surgery was 230. Doctors goal weight for me with sleeve is 172, personal goal weight of 165.
  3. Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome is very close to Lupus, so having both is pretty rough but it's life. Very low immune system and hurts your bones. Got my official sleeve date today of October 9th!
  4. You look amazing! Got my date today, will be sleeved October 9th. Current weight 230, started out at 251. Keep up the good work, YOU look amazing!!

  11. It really depends on the surgeons program and your insurance requirements. My very first visit was in June and I get my official sleeve date for October today. I had a little hold up because one of the pretest showed I had sleep apnea so I had to wear a CPAP machine as an additional step. So with me it was four months. I highly recommend the support group. Best of luck with y poo it journey :-)
  12. Y poo yr in our thoughts! You'll do great! Please keep us updated and know your being thought about!

  14. When I started three months ago my weight was 250, and I am a male with height of 5"7. That put me at a 37 BMI I believe, I have lost 18 since and my BMI is now 36. I get my official surgery date for October today when I meet with the surgeon at 3pm. It has been a journey and a half with A LOT or work and A LOT more to come. I look forward to looking and feeling informal, and hopefully bye bye to cholesterol and high blood pressure and the sleep apnea machine (which I didn't even know I had sleep apnea until all my pre testing for the sleeve).
  15. This is FAR from the easy way out!! People that say that have NO knowledge of the procedure and the work YOU have to do for the rest of your life. I would highly recommend that you go to a local support group, I go every week and it is AWESOME. I get my official date for sometime in October today at 3pm. Best of luck to you!
  16. Thanks Tabb, I'll let you know what happens!
  17. Mine was put through as STAT and it still took two weeks.
