  1. Hi Jordan. I'm pre-op and have the same questions. I'm supposed to drink a Protein shake for Breakfast for the next 3 months on my supervised diet and, other than muscle milk, I can't stand them. I gag or have to run to the restroom all day with most. Welcome to the site. There is a great wealth of information here. April
  2. Hi Nikki!! Welcome to the group. I'm an Okie and am having to do 3 months of an Atkins-like diet. Most people call it lean n green diet. It's hard. I give everyone major props for having to do any of the supervised diets.
  3. Wow. Good job. I was told all I'd be able to do for 6 weeks is walk. My surgeon won't authorize anything else. I hope I'm as agile as you are at 3 weeks.
  4. Hey Justin, psychiatric drugs ( like for depression, anxiety or bipolar disorder) can cause that. Alternatively, so can mild panic attacks.
  5. He did my dare so he's cool. His turn
  6. Ha! I'm too old for him anyway. I guess I could be a puma. I'm pretty sure that's a step before being a cougar!!!!!

  9. It's a real telephone #. It's automated. You'll know what it's for within the first 5 seconds. Don't be a crybaby.
  10. How about this. I dare you to dial 1-800-fuc-kyou and tell us what it is.
  11. Oh, I have a dare for you but it is not like we'd have proof you really did it. Lol
  12. Guys tend to chicken out
  13. It's perfectly normal. This is a lifetime commitment to change. Your chance to start over with your health and a huge step. I think it would be more odd if you weren't on edge after just quitting cold turkey so close to your surgery date. Just try and relax. You're as normal as can be.
  14. That was so funny! I did have a woman ask me when my baby was due and I looked at her and said "about 4 o'clock when the bus pulls up n drops her off"!!!! The look on her face was priceless. My last appointment is dec 2 and then it'll be time to talk to her and get everything scheduled.
  15. Try lean n green with a protein shake as breakfast for 3 months before surgery. Very difficult.
  16. So you have or have not gotten any relief from weight loss?
  17. Yup. I'm in the same boat. Spinal stenosis and deg disk disease as well as lumbar bulges and am hoping like heck it takes some of my back and hip pain away.
  18. Cool. Best of luck to you. I live in Durant but drive to Norman and am going through Journey Clinic at Norman Regional. I've made it through my consult, physical therapy appt and first nut appt. go to my support group meeting the 17th.
