  1. Wow, in a month? I bet you're mouth is watering already. Lol
  2. Welcome!! You will find lots of answers to weightloss questions and amazing support here
  3. This is actually comical. Trusting ourselves is what got us here. Listening to ourselves is why we're FAT. Listen to your NUT and your surgeon. I've read on here a million times; surgery can fix your stomach but not your head.
  4. maybe. My nut is allowing it Bc so many of the others literally make me so sick I can't stay out of the restroom. Lol
  5. My last appointment is December 6 and I cannot wait!!! Hopefully our wait for final approval won't be long
  6. They are by Swanson and are in the box type containers that Swanson broths come in.
  7. Any time. I just wish I could've been more helpful.
  8. I just sent you one. Maybe you'll get it. Lol
  9. I do that. If I gorge myself with dessert I feel like I'm starving when I wake up. If I eat lean and green I'm not hungry at all and actually skip breakfast and/or lunch (a big no-no). But mine is with sweets. If I have dessert the night before.
  10. He lives in Hansville but is from Poulsbo, a little Norwegian town. Last time I visited I just fell in love with the entire beauty of the area. Everyone we ran into thought my Okie accent was "adorable" but I was trying hard not to sound to much like a redneck. Lol He wants me to come soon, but with everything I have going on I just can't. All of this pre-surgery stuff is keeping me busy. Maybe in January. What part of the state do you live in?
  11. I love Jodi Picoult, baldachi, and your basics like koontz, king, Patterson, etc. but truthfully, if you put it in my hands I'll read it. I have to admit, my daughter had to read The Hunger Games for school so I read it as well. Loved it so much I got the other two. Lol
  12. I'll look up some of Janet Evanovich's other books for my kindle. I bet you're right and I'll love them. My daughter loves her, too. She just sits and laughs and laughs
  13. I've only read the Plum series. Lulu is my favorite character!!! And her grandmother. The movie "One For the Money" was ok, but of course the book was way better.
  14. Oh girl, long story. It's a long distance thing. He has to go back across the country to Washington state.
  15. truth be told, that really isn't bad for the vitamins.
  16. Mine wouldn't be as fun. I'm all alone. Time to buy batteries.
  17. I'm a meal skipper too. I'd go all day and then eat a huge meal for dinner Bc I'd let myself get too hungry. My nut has told me if I gain weight during my supervised visits that they'd extend me. I was told that meal skipping needs to be nipped in the bud before surgery, as that cannot happen afterward. She said if I cannot stomach eating breakfast that I am to have one Protein drink, then a small healthy meal of meat and veggies for lunch and dinner. If I get hungry, she listed a couple of snack I can have. Yogurt, low fat cottage cheese or a piece of fruit. This is to get me in the habit of eating how I'll be eating after surgery. It's hard. I've lost 10 pounds and my last visit is December 6. I try and tell myself that if I cannot stick to this, how am I gonna do my preop? I just wanted to let you know I totally feel where you're coming from. April
  18. Mmm I love the strawberry muscle milk. So far muscle milk is my favorite.
  19. I think complications with the band is higher. I've even read that some bariatric doctors are no longer doing the band, but have went with going with the sleeve and bypass only. Read the complications in the band forum. In two days my sister converts from band to sleeve. Slippage, scar tissue and erosion are just a few band complications. Also trying to find that "sweet spot" where your fill is perfect can take years. It did for her. You have to research and then research some more. Then at the end of the day, go with what you feel is right for you.
  20. Hmmm. Interesting. I normally pay $3.60 copay per prescription.
  21. My psych eval could only be done by the psych the bariatric clinic uses. The clinic uses only their own. I'm bipolar and see a psychiatrist on a regular basis and that wasn't acceptable. I had to use my weightloss clinic's psych. And of course she didn't accept either of my insurances. So that was $300 charged to my card. But.... My psych was open, friendly and said I was a good candidate (my bipolar disorder had to be stabilized for at least 6 months, and I've been stable for well over a year) for the sleeve. The only thing she wanted was a letter from my psych faxed to her answering 7 questions about diagnosis, emotional stability, etc. I hear all these horror stories about psych evals with jerks for a psych and consider myself lucky. April
  22. My favorite one is my Jiminy Cricket on my shoulder. Jiminy stands for a person's conscience, so my Jiminy has a black eye, his arm is in a sling and his clothes are a little disheveled. I'm always fighting my conscience..... I try to be a good girl, but well, shit happens
  23. I never fail to laugh my ass off while reading these.
  24. Breaking Bad. Fringe. Supernatural (my teens got me addicted)
  25. Look at you making me google "catabolic mode".
