  1. Jen's is Thursday and mine is Tuesday. There are several of us right together and it really helps to have the support. Being able to get on here and have friends that actually understand what you're going through is a lifesaver. I don't smoke. Maybe I'll learn to crochet or something.
  2. When u said that about your dog I laughed so hard! I kid you not, less than 10 minutes ago I looked at my shih tzu and said "Lilly, I wonder how many meals I can get outta you". She just huffed and went to sleep. If she only knew how close she was to being a rotisserie morsel.... I'll restrain myself. No punching. Promise.
  3. I'm not getting up Bc right now I don't trust myself to. Lol. I'm just sitting here til it passes. Day 8. Damn day 8. It's been great up til now.
  4. I ain't gonna lie, pre-op dieting is screwing with my mind. It's showing me what a horrible relationship I have with food. This empty feeling makes me think I'm hungry and I know it's in my head but it's hard. Today has been my roughest day and I'm on day 8. I think maybe I've had too many carbs n it's triggering me. I ate an Oikos vanilla Greek yogurt and thought it was sugar free but it wasn't. It had sugar. Big wake up call for me. What do you do now when you're bored instead of eat?
  5. Was just telling SJ that I'm losing it. My internal dialogue is crazy arguing. I know I'm not hungry. Just empty. But I really miss the way full feels.
  6. I keep thinking about food. And how hard it is to let go of poor choices. It is probably the hardest thing I'll ever do. It had controlled so many aspects of my life. From birthday parties, to holidays, to girls night out. This sucks ballsack
  7. I'm drinking a shit ton of liquids. Lots. Lots n lots. Did I mention I'm drinking lots? I'm peeing constantly too. And it's practically clear like water too. I finally figured out how to log crap on MFP tonight so I'm feeling accomplished. But for reals, my head hunger is raging and it's very hard for me right now Bc I think the little bit of protein n veggies I'm allowed just whets my appetite for more food. And I know it's in my head but it's so hard. Grrrr
  8. Stay positive Sherry!!! You'll be better. Lots of test and chicken broth.
  9. Well hello lady!! Yeah, we've totally been backed up. Except I finally got to go today. Lol. I'll try miralax in my drinks tomorrow and see if it'll keep me regular. Otherwise I'm popping the stool softeners.
  10. I'm same day. Minus the band. Lol. Good luck!!!
  11. No, my surgeon said only walking will help with that. Gas x will help with stomach and intestinal gas though.
  12. I'm not advertising my surgery but if I'm asked I'll be truthful. Someone on here posted "it's not what they call you, it's what you answer to". I couldn't care less what someone gossips about me. At least they're giving someone else a rest by not gossiping about them.
  13. Hang in there. If you need to vent you know we are here. I'm wishing u a very speedy recovery and hoping it gets better soon
  14. Lol, wow... My surgeon says after an entire year. It's more about empty calories though.
  15. I don't have that. But in the hospital they give me something, I think a suppository, to "get things moving" (how they put it) before I'm able to be discharged. My luck it'll hit me on the 3 hr drive home.
  16. In all honesty, I'd rather become dependent on them for the rest of my life than go through the pain I went through trying to poop. I'm talking blood. When you're like that it changes your views. Just remember that phentermine does affect your heart and you're just about to have major surgery. Be careful
  17. Do you have to do a bowel prep? I can't remember what you'd said?
  18. It took 3 softeners and FINALLY! But the next day I was constipated again. So 3 more. I think I'm gonna have to make it a daily thing. Odd thing is, since my gallbladder was removed in 08 I've ALWAYS had diarrhea. Bile acid diarrhea and regular diarrhea. And usually I'd be running for a restroom within minutes of eating. Now I'm the exact opposite.
  19. All appointments were scheduled through my weightloss clinic. All I had to do was show up.
  20. Bc they are trying to take over the world. Jeez, haven't you watched the Terminator movies??? Lmao
  21. My surgery is Tuesday, the 18th. I do exactly as MegaBob. I'm focusing on excitement. Looking forward to the new changes in my life. When I start to let doubt or fears creep in, I slam the door on it. Worry will not change anything, but it will rob me of my excitement and I refuse to let it do that. April
  22. Ha! I just tagged u in a pic on FB. You'll find the humor in it
  23. There are ppl that are a year or more out that don't go up to that many calories. I see them usually around 800-900 at a yr out. I think you're in the right zone, but of course I'm no doc.
  24. I contacted the bariatric center I wanted to go through. They had me watch one of their seminars. I then decided to go with them and they did all the rest for me. Set up appts with psych, nutritionist, etc
