Lucky # Sevens- July 07 Bandsters
Hi Janet; I opt for anything OTHER than Days Inn... they don't build them very well and have NO soundproofing in them. they may be cheaper but heck aren't we doubleing up on rooms??? I stayed in one last week and I could hear every footstepp all night long from the room above us.. Then at 5:30 am they were doing the "wild thing" noisy headboard... ya know what I mean? But no screams of passion from her... so I guess HE wasn't that skilled LOL... beleive me the walls are so thin if she'd made a peek I woulda heard it. We complained about the noise and they gave us a discount on the room PLUS, another reason is the WE Luckey 7's will be making LOTS of racket for sure and we don't want to disturb anyone else!!! :huh2: The dates are o.k. with me end of July weekend, how about for Linda, she and I are driving together from MIchigan/Milwakee yea.... just call us Thelma and Louise.... but we are stopping before the CLIFF :cool2:

Ruby; I am glad you are looking after yourself. Stephanie; Now that you've got someone to listen to you, you'll do much better I just know it.!! Anti-depressants can be a life-saver, they will take a bit of time to work but they will work and you'll feel like your old self again soon. A wee de-fill is just the trick, you'll re-hydrate and then you can continue your awesome losses... 8 lbs sounds like a fair estimate for weightloss... although I am sorry you had to do it the 'hard' way. Janet: Size 8 jeans!!! I am so jealous!!! Please save them for me, I love hand me downs and you can give them to me in July!!!! LOL You'll be too tiny for them by then~!~~!~ Linda: Your plan for the ferry sounds like the best choice! I'll keep checking out that web page for prices, schedules... You are a dear~ And thanks for the offer to sleep over on your fouton in my travels.... So today, I marked off my Vacation Calander for our JULY trip to Mall of A... yeah, I am so excited to meet you all. :blushing: Driving will be a better option for flying... I'll also get to see some more of Michigan too. And I've never been to Milwakee either. PHYL: Can you make it ??? 3rd weekend in July?

----- BLESSEDCANADA On the sixth day God turned to the Archangel Gabriel and said: "Today I am going to create a land called Canada It will be a land of outstanding natural beauty. It shall have tall majestic mountains full of mountain goats, and eagles, beautiful sparkling lakes bountiful with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, high cliffs over-looking sandy beaches with an abundance of sea life, and rivers stocked with salmon." God continued, "I shall make the land rich in resources so as to make the inhabitants prosper, I shall call these inhabitants Canadians, and they shall be known as the most friendly people on the earth." "But Lord," asked Gabriel "don't you think you are being too generous to these Canadians?" "Not really," replied God "just wait and see the winters I am going to give them." AND NOW YOU KNOW.

Get better soon o.k.???? You got us all worried. MEN: Oh my we all do have a lot in common! My DH is loyal, honest, hardworking... but when I read about the Non-spontaneous complait!!! WOW that hit a cord. He is very thoughtful in many ways and can still make my head spin (if you know what I mean) but I don't feel we do enough FUN stuff together... those episodes are few and far between. Boredom, I think is my main Eat-over-it reason... followed by a close second to feeling Lonely at times. DH goes out every FRI Sat night to play guitar in a band... I could go along, but ya know I HEARD the 50-60 songs 1,000,000 times in reheral ya know?? LOL Plus, I LOVE the taste of food... now i do still enjoy my food, actually maybe more now that I actually CHEW it... LOL... i know youare laughing with me here. Cause I used to just shovel the food in and swallow large chunks...how did I even taste it??? Well, gotta get in the shower and get to work by 10 see you later, gators Just Peachy:tt2:

O.k. I did some searching on the web. Minnesota.. uh o.k. Now I know where that is in relation to Ontario. I could DRIVE in 16 hrs from where I live.. a long way all by myself. I could FLY in 2 1/2 hours but it would cost $500 for just the flight - yikes! Does anyone live in Michigan that would like to Share Driving??? I could drive to Michigan no problem, been there many times before and I know Detroit and Pt. Huron quite well... Then we could drive on to Minesota together and share driving and costs... Any takers??? Peaches :smile2:

Kari, are you in MIchigan??? Are you interested in the JULY get-to-gether at MALL OF AMERICA?? I need to find out what city THAT is in so I can GOOGLE IT and find travel arrangements... I could fly out of Toronto or Buffalo.. SO somebody let me know o.k.? Wow LINDA; the weather eh? Oh My God the worst storm of the year and this winter that's saying a lot... its been like STORM of the WEEK in northern Us and Canada... Sheesh, I can't wait for spring. Last night we had some friends for dinner and they almost had to stay over night!!! They live in the same town but looking out my front window you couldn't see across the street for the blizzard... and this kept up from 1 p.m until 3 a.m. ... Snow accumulated to 1 1/2 feet.... 20 cms. for us metric folks (LOL) Anyways, toomuch damn snow... I had to drive my sister to the Airport in Toronto this morning... thank God we have Great Snow Plow systems in place and the roads were very good. Plowed but snow packed, which is way better than ICY~~~~!@@!!!!! She got to the Airport on time and her flight was only delayed 45mins. to Houston, then she has a 3 hr stop over and continues to Mexico... She lives and works in Mexico for 6 mos. a year. But she flew home to see our MOM who has been quite ill (posted a couple weeks ago) Anyways, My MOM is doing much better and sounds stronger everyday. She is blessed for sure! You travel gurus.... are there any Casino's near this Mall of America??? just wondering. WEIGHTLOSS.... still very restricted, I can hardly drink Water, mostly I have to have hot coffee or hot tea... that's the only liquids that go down. I know I am not drinking enough fluids but I'm working on it. food is great, solids go down well although VERY small quantities YEAH!~ but mushies just get stuck.. no matter what I try.. pudding NOPE, cottage cheese NOPE, gets stuck.. oatmeal o.k. chicken o.k., pork o.k., beef o.k. , fish o.k. veggies o.k.... but fruit is iffy... I love nectarines but the membrains get tangled in the band or something.. Its a new learning experience. .. cause just a couple of weeks ago I could (and did ) eat everything... Janet, I am sorry to hear you are in a winter funk... It'll pass.. and I am sure you look awesome in your store-bought-tan... UM I'll have to get one of those before I meet you guys in July, as I am pasty white too... good ol' Irish/Scottish/English skin... green eyes, reddish hair... but you can see that Ha,ha,ha.... I am in a silly mood today. Took my "Twiggy" (Dog) out for a nice long winter walk today after I got home from Toronto. Boy it was fresh, but felt really good to get some excersise... I've been negligent in that dept... now that I have good restriction I am going to focus on excersise more and combine the benefits of both.... I have a lot of w/l to catch up to you guys... Janet you are ahead of me by 10 lbs... and I want to weight the same as you by July... we are about the same height and age, plus we started out at nearly the same weight target. Anyways I babble... Phyl, glad your interent is working better for you.. it really is frustrating when its slow or down. Be well and keep warm/"cool" depending on where you are!!! just Peachy

Third weekend in July is GOOD for me - Candice WHere the heck is MALL OF AMERICA and what else is there to do but shop??? I get bored after a couple of hours, and if I'm traveling to the US then I'd love to do some sight=seeing as well ya know - If you drove to Canada from Buffalo you wouldn't necessarily need a passport its only if you FLY into Canada (? don't know what the rational for that is?) PLUS if you fly into Buffalo from another US destination then flights are probably cheaper. Just a thought. BUt I'm easy, I DO have a passport and travel internationally every year so that's not a problem for me.:smile2:

Who could ever be sick of YOU!!! Silly O.k. Closest big Airport is TORONTO, Ontario ( 1 1/2 hr drive to the Beach) or you could fly into Buffalo, N.Y. rent a car and drive the rest of the way 3hr drive. Buffalo airport is smaller and simpler, Toronto airport is HUGE 3 terminals in all. I have room for about 6 gals.... PM me if you want more details...

I know sometimes you are afraid to put in religious beliefs in case you offend someone... but for me I beleive in a Universal God, I am not Christian, Jewish or Muslim... I just KNOW there is something out there greater than us WHO KNOWS ALL. I beleive this is what you are speaking of... And yes, it would be so cool to plan to get together as a LUCKY 7's group... My part of Ontario is very beautiful in Summer... why not JULY 08 it would be Bandiversary for most of us... and I have a huge house!!! ( 2 little doggies) :biggrin:A 14 km fresh water beach 1 km away (we can walk it) and lots of tourist sites... It's something to ponder everyone!!!

Hi there it sounds like you take a lot of meds for depression, so do I.. What I did was order one in Liquid, the other is a capsule so I open it and sprikle it on my food(oatmeal hides it well) and sometimes pills can be crushed too. So you might want to try that. I am not able to NOT take my meds, too risky for a relapse for me... Best of luck!!!

Well I am back from T.O. getting my (hopefully) last fill under fluro. My Doc put in 1/2 cc... then 1 hour later the pain was intolerable and I was part way home on a 2 1/2 hour drive!!! I called my surg. and he said to meet him at his office for a tiny de-fill. 1/4 cc out and I was fine again. Wow, the pain was horrible.. Never been STUCK on Water and spit before. Anyway, this a.m. is good, ate oatmeal and it went down and stayed fine. no pain... YEAH Have a great day everyone p.s. Stephanie, you didn't sound bad about your teaching job... we all have to let off steam... Just hang in there!! (((hugs)))

I love those things, but we only get them in the summer here (tourist town ha,ha) and you only ate 1/3rd??? Take a bra that you already own, if it puts the "girls" into the right possiton LOL Then CUT the straps that attach at the BACK... Tie them behind your neck HAULTER style.... your halter dress neckline at the back will hide them... and you didnt have to spend any money!@!!!! hee,hee... I've tried this trick and it works great.. Enjoy your holiday!

Green: Oh darling, I am so sorry to hear about your vocal cord. You wont' have to wait long, Monday will come soon o.k.! I'll keep positive thoughts and say prayers for you. After you have this tumor removed we must all gather for lunch and you can YAK your face off and catch up on all the talking that you've been missing o.k.... I promise to come and bring all my cach of dirty jokes....!! To cheer your recovery. :smile2: (((((hugs)))) Rose: Lack of resolve, motivation... oh my you could have been talking for me there... I have some restriction, but am eating JUNK. Perhaps there is something we can all do for our particular challenge Visualization: "Look at the back of your hands, right now. Really look at the back of your hands: the color of your skin, the freckles, the blood vessels, the rings, the fingernails. Take in all the details. Right before your eyes, see those hands, your fingers wrapping around the steering wheel of your brand new car." (excerpt from The Secret) For myself, I am going to visualize myself, thinner and excersising more... I must see myself eating healthier chices, tasting the fruit and its sweetness, enjoying the sensation of Steak in my mouth tiny pieces of course and the savoury taste that accompanies it. The mild soft sweetness of fresh fish, lightly sauteed in olive oil, and crisp steamed veggies... ummm Brussel sprouts, gr beans, carrots... Oh and I can smell ratatoille, eggplant and chicken simmered with onions and some tomatoes.... O.k. now for breakfast... I like steel cut oats, with raisins, chopped walnuts for healthy omegas... topped with sugar free syrop and skim milk... think I'll go and do some cooking now.... Visualize Health, Happiness & have a great day

What does the prfect fill feel like?
It sounds like you are just starting out on the 'fill' regime... sometimes its 3-4 fills to reach your "sweet spot" (proper restriction) and sometimes if you don't have much FAT around your stomach then it takes many more fills... Currently I have 10.3 cc's in my band... and hav ebeen getting regular fills (every 2 -3 wks) since July... I am still not quite there yet... perhaps this next fill on Mar 3rd?? Good luck, and keep posting and reading For every bandster there is a new journey, we are all unique.
