Good MOrning Ladies! Breakfast is over and I am just getting ready to do my Wii for the day. We had company last night, and yest afternoon I went into town to (finally) visit my MOM.. I thinks its been 4 weeks since I was able to visit. If you remember they had a RotoVirus that hit the place and it was on quarantine... She was so glad to see me, and I was releived to see her too. Mom was sitting in the lounge when I arrived watching her GOLF tournaments.... Her nose has healed very well, and the graft that the surgeon did looks awesome... And he isn't even a plastics man... an Ear, Nose & Throat guy... he was so nice to my Mom too... So that's one less thing to worry about now. My sister comes back from Mexico this weekend... That'll be goood for my Mom too. NSV yesterday for me was I didn't PIG out on the way home from my Mom's and I didn't eat any COOKIES while there either.... That place is a huge trigger for me, but I just kept telling DIANNA to shut the @$#% up.... THen when I got home I made dinner for our guests, they left around 9:30 so I did my 30 minutes of Wii then... Gosh, the weight it had me at was horrible.. but that late in the day I am just ignoring it and I'll take this morings weight instead... Well I'd better get at it... then work this afternoon/evening. NOw as far as the water with a meal... oh yea that is hard to get used to... but ya know... I don't even miss it anymore. Stephanie drinks a big glass of water PRIOR to her meal... then she is all hydrated before she starts to eat. At first I set a timer on the stove after super... so that after 45 minutes I could have my cup of tea... THen I drink tea all thru the evening while I quilt. p.s. you are not high maintenance, you are a newbie and newbies have lots of questions while they are learning... don't feel bad about that... that's why we all stickaround here...

Great Job Stephanie!!! Your numbers are looking good and healthy. I am glad your Doctor is saying One day on and One day off... That is very sensible, considering what you've been thru:rolleyes2:

Karla, Karri; Well said Karri!!!! You are right on. No sugar coating it. (Pardon the PUN) If you read all the posts from everyone on here you will find honesty, love & direction. We dont all take the same journey to get where we're going. Some of us learn early, some of us learn LATE. However, some of us are more pig-headed than others (ME!) and tend to try and do things "my own way" ... it only ever works for me if I stick to the straight and narrow... I am the type that MUST be accountable, either to myself or others... Mostly OTHERS works best for me... I get my Strength and determination from all of the rest of you... As if left to my own devices I fluctuate and stumble... Today, and only for today I have a plan - and its working for me... Will my plan work for me tomorrow? I won't know until tomorrow... in that moment. Here are my today totals... CALORIESCARBSFATPROTEIN1,126-137-28-51

Don't worry, you are not whinning any more or louder than any of us that have gone before. You are just entering "Bandster Hell" . Its that time after you are healed from surgery, but BEFORE you have restriction. It will take several fills before you have adequet restriction so be patient. Its very hard... we all remember well. I had to go thru it twice!!! My first surgery was in July 07 (like everyone else) but then 4 -5 fills into the journey my nurse PUNCTURED my Tubing to the port and I had to have a 2nd surgery to FIX the damn thing... needless to say that gave me a huge excuse to feel sorry for myself and continue eating poorly... I do very well, when I stay on the straight and narrow as I DO have proper restriction now. 7.5 cc's in a 10 cc Band. My sweet spot. Yup, $7000 is a LOT of money... and you are getting what you paid for... it just takes time... It dson't all happen overnight.. Its the waiting that is the worst... But think about how lucky you are to have gotten the surgery at all... At least you are ON your JOURNEY, consider the thousands of folks out there who are doomed to remain fat because they cannot afford this surgery. WE ARE THE LUCKY ONES, just keep telliny your self that o.k. Hang in... it'll get there Night, night:tt1:

What quilting project are you working on Karla? I am hand quilting (on the outer boarders now) a Double Bed size quilt. The blocks were given to me (12) by a friend who has decided to vet her closets and garage... so I was the benefactor... Lucky me huh??? So I put on the finishing borders, basted it and now I am on the home stretch of finishing it. If you've read back a few pages you'll see that after CANDY, QUILTING is my next favorite addiction... albiet a much healthier one!

Good morning !!! O.k. I've only had a coffee w/ double milk so far, but I am downstairs and have completed my Wii FIT for the day~ 1:02 One hour, 2 minutes O.k so who's up for the Wii challenge today? I know there is a keener out there somewhere who can beat 1 hour, 2 minutes!!! Cammon, I know you're out there just waiting to beat the SOCKS off of me.. "Dianna" the demon girl is quite today!!! YEAH!!!:tt1: I didn't exercise yesterday, but I didn't quilt either... DH took me out for supper... and I still did pretty well with my cal total yest. Because I ordered an Appetiser instead of a meal. I had Steamed mussels!! God, the protien was really high and they were so good. I almost ordered their fresh Lake Pickeral, but I knew it would come with potatoes, veggies, roll etc... so I passed on that. I was pleased with my choices, and I then had enough cals left over in the evening to have my Hot DIET Cocoa, and an AllBran Fibre bar... :smile2: O.k. now I am off to have some nutrition, and QUILT ha,ha.. all damn day if I want to. But DH is out doing Yard work, so I should go do some of that too.. I have IRIS's to move about. Have a great day ladies...

I agree with Janet, use those workout cals as added insurance that you'll lose weight each week. Keeping up with the Food Police's suggestions will make you a loser(hee, hee a winner) a deficit of calories per day ...daily plate said 1600 that's to eat to MAINTAIN your current weight. So there are 3500 cals in a pound of lost body weight (I know it dosn't sound fair) therefore to loose 1 lb of stored weight each week you must be in a daily deficit of 500 cals. So YOU get to eat 1100 cals Total.. and you will lose 1 lb per week at a minimum... because all the exercise you are doing will only speed up that deficit process.. get it??? Before and After....Children Before children I was thankful to have been born in the USA, the most powerful free democracy in the world. After children I am thankful for Velcro tennis shoes. As well as being a time saver, I can hear the sound of my son taking them off, which gives me three extra seconds to activate the safety locks on the back seat windows, right before he hurls them out of the car and onto the freeway. Before children I was thankful for the opportunity to obtain a college education and have a higher quality of life than my ancestors. After children I am thankful to finish a complete thought without being interrupted. Before children I was thankful for holistic medicine and natural herbs. After children I am thankful for pediatric cough syrup guaranteed to "cause drowsiness" in young children. Before children I was thankful for a warm, cozy home to share with my loved ones. After children I am thankful for the lock on the bathroom door. Before children I was thankful for my wonderful family. After children I am thankful for my wonderful family. Thomas Ellsworth

Dear karrie; You sound like you are getting some good insight into why you are eating badly. The pouch test is a good place to start. I had a shake for breaky today too, then a WW frozen dinner for lunch. Just now I ate 1 boneless skinless chicken thigh and it was PLENTY, I tried to eat some of my 1/2 cup of beets and it got stuck. SO.... I may re-try my beets this evening as a snack... geesh its already in my Spark totals for today.. plus I need the fibre... or tomorrow Pooping will be difficult! Sorry TMI!!!

Denise; I hope your Mom is better today too. That Horrible Stomach bug has been hanging around Canada too. My Mom is still on "lockdown" at her retirement rez. They have ALL had it... I was hoping to get in to see her yest. no luck... still confined. Wow, there has sure been a lot of stress on members of late with Parent issues... Hugs to all of you, and get stable soon:tongue: Karri; I hear ya girl... I know what you mean about the Food demons... I've been fighting them myself. But I have a new plan.... more later Ummmm, ya know me too well Janet.. When I am not on here with verbal diarhea then YOU know what I am up to. No damn good!~ :sneaky: I have been pigging out on choc. almonds. icecream, I was all determined to quit it yest. when my boss walks in with Foil wrapped Bunnies for me to eat!!!! Well that was it, yest was a disaster. Work, tried to see Mom, Candy Store, Casino ($100 lost), fabric store{now this was a possitive move} I stopped and got some thread that I was needing to finish a project. Came home, no dinner... went down to the baselment to sew... I stayed there all evening so I wouldn't be near the fridge/cupboards... Ate 2 pcs pizza for dinner and that was it. This morning, I got out my Wii Fit that I bought yesterday {remember I gave the 1st one to the kids?} So this a.m. I had a shake, messed around hooking up my Wii and did Yoga, Strength training for 45 minutes. I was surprised as my wii fit age on the weekend was 66 yrs old. This morning, I did better 51 yrs old. So here I sit again, {never quit quitting right?} today is day 1 of new eating patterns and new fitness patterns. I have NOT been going to the gym so I am thinking of cancelling that membership and just doing the Wii fit at home. I know you ladies will keep me accountable on my Wii Fit as several of you have the console too - am I right??? In order to do any quilting, I MUST do 45 - 60 mins on the Wii Fit first o.k.?? does that sound reasonable? I am sorry I havn't kept up with all the posts, I've just been very self-centred lately (yuk) Hugs, and love Candice

Awh Phyl, its o.k. You are just missing the folks that are leaving and the great WINTER time that you had. I am envious of you and Earl ... you lead a great social life. But everyone has left down south... so you'd be lonely there anyways right? Up north you'll see SPRING come out and then summer.... it'll be great to spend time spoiling your grandchildren right??? I wish I had some to spoil!!! Hugs, Can
