  1. Oh my gosh Stephanie: I get sun rash too!!! SO itchy isn't it... What is it with our Northerner Skin???? It really sucks as I love to be out in the sun, always lifts my mood. I love to go to the Carribean but I always have to slather on SPF lotion... or wear long sleeves. Where did we all decide we wanted to cruise? I hope its not the Carribean in JULY 2010!!! Perhaps Alaska??? or the Atlantic seaboard would be cool too. Not so good on food today. Got my excersising in but I maxed out on calories.... won't go into the details .... cause I'll trigger somebody else... Just finished watching a tear jerker movie. THE READER with Kate Winslet, OMG was it ever good... but a triple hanky movie:frown:
  2. Not much happening here either I was trying to have a nap earlier and all I could hear was this buzzing from a BEE problem was I didnt' know if this "BEE" was inside my bedroom or outside the window, just being really loud I am deathly allergic to bee stings, so naturally I had to go hunt it down and KILL it before it landed on sleeping ME and it killed me. Argh!! I was a super fat lazy house fly... it was HUGE, but I killed it.. now I am too awake to nap... :wink2:
  3. :tongue2:Karla, YOUR quilting retreat sounds like HEAVEN to me!!! I chuckled when I read about the skinny dipping - sounds like something I'd do. OHHH the food sounds wonderful too... this year you won't be able to eat 1/4 of it... what a NSV that will be eh? Someday, I would love to visit Montana it sounds lovely.. I love rugged out of doors.. guess that makes me a natural born Canuck hey!!! Back from my bike ride with DH, I thought we were gone 45 mins. but DH tells me no, it was more like 1/2 an hour:frown:
  4. Hello Linda and Good morning!!! Don't worry, I will not go into OVERDRIVE LOL... Food is no problem... as all of us only eat HALF of what regular folks do anyways..hee,hee,hee... I love having company...plus we'll be out and about... at the beach(14 miles long remember) there are many restaurants along the boardwalk.... and in Collingwood at the Elvis Festival there is an outdoor STREET dance on the Friday night... lots of local restaurants to choose from there too. PLUS the Street Dance is "Licenced" which in Canada means you can DRINK beers, coolers etc right outside while you dance... its a blast. The ELVIS impersonators(they compete) will slay you. One year I saw a JAPANESE Elvis... I swear my jaw dropped a foot and I was catching flies... The funniest thing I ever saw. I just ment that if Kari wants to come earlier than Thurs. that would be FUN... Zip lining is up the mountain, so from there we can also do some sightseeing. DH finally put some AIR in my tires so I am going to go for a nice bike ride today!!!
  5. NIght, night everyone!!

  9. Subject: IRISH MILLIONAIRE Mick, from Dublin, appeared on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' and towards the end of the program had already won 500,000 pounds. You've done very well so far,' said, Chris Tarrant, the show's presenter, 'but for a million pounds you've only got one lifeline left - phone a friend. Everything is riding on this question......will you go for it?' 'Sure,' said Mick. 'I'll have a go!' 'Which of the following birds does NOT build its own nest?' A: Sparrow B: Thrush C: Magpie D: Cuckoo I haven't got a clue,' said Mick, 'so I'll use me last lifeline and phone me friend Paddy back home in Dublin'. Mick called up his mate, and told him the circumstances and repeated the question to him. Mick!' cried Paddy. 'Dat's simple......it's a cuckoo.''Are you sure?''I'm sure.' Mick hung up the phone and told Chris, ' I'll go wit Cuckoo as me answer.' 'Is that your final answer?' asked Chris 'Dat it is, Sir.' There was a long - long pause, then the presenter screamed, 'Cuckoo is the correct answer! Mick, you've won 1 million pounds!' The next night, Mick invited Paddy to their local pub to buy him a drink. 'Tell me, Paddy? How in Heaven's name did you know it was da Cuckoo that doesn't build it's own nest? 'Because he lives in a clock.'
  10. Since we are t alking about our "babies" I need to add that my 2 dogs are now considered GERIATRIC... ONe is on heart medication (2) + Liver medicine. The older one is deaf, and she's on Pain Med. for arthritis and liver medicine too. AS long as I put the pills in Cheese Whiz they LOVE taking their pills. I talked to my GF last night who is going to watch my doggies for me while we are in FRANCE... it should be great for them. FOOD yest, Janet I did let DIANNA get the best of me. I was PISSED at my husband. He says "I'm away for 3 days next week on a work assignment so DONT go eating any icecream while I'm gone!".... well that really pissed me off, so when I went out to pick up the doggies medicine I drove straight over to Dairy QUeen and had a blizzard... It wa sgood, but I thought I didn't eat much yest, so I'll just look it up when I get home and put it in my food journal... well, it was 1000 for the icecream! OMG really blew it.. SO, if I am mad at my DH why do I take it out on me????? At work now and my first px comes in few CBL

  19. I know we all seem to have that common thread.... non worthiness!! it is so hard to get past THAT. I had a few tiny overages this weekend, so today I am being WAY careful... I just keep making myself another cup of tea.... filling myself with fluids...:crying: Get this, on Sat went to see my Mom, she says" oh huney, don't loose anymore weight!" ...."you don't want to be too thin!".... dah..... I have lost and regained the same two lbs for months... WHAT is she talking about????? Oh well, at least she is always referring to my BROTHER as fat now and not me.... Thank God for small mercies ....LOL:w00t:
  20. I come before you today to give you permission to start letting go. Someone smarter than me once said, "You can have everything. You just can’t have everything right now!" To reach your goals and live the life you want, it takes priorities and patience—the ability to choose between two competing wishes, and the willingness to set one aside for now and wait. You can build the path that you want to walk on, and decide which steps to take. It’s important to you—to your health, your goals and your family—that you take some time to exercise and plan healthy meals. You should treat it that way and give yourself permission to take that time without feeling guilty. The irony is that by being healthy and taking time from your schedule, you’ll be able to take care of more of that "other" stuff in the long run. Besides, is anything on your to-do list really more important than your health? When it comes down to it, those choices may not be so tough after all.
  21. I had 1/2 chicken/burrito at Taco Bell... couldn't finish it...
  22. Ah Janet; you are right... it is a growing time for Andrew... You are sweet to be gracious about him going..even though I KNOW you will miss him... Great price on the flight girl!!! Linda; If you fly to T.O. try and get in around the same time Janet does... don't worry we'll wait for you!!! Phyl is driving, Kari(Michigan) is driving... Stephanie??? I imagine she'll fly.... Looking good girls!
  23. Yeah! Linda's back!!! Whoo hoo!! O.k. girls, now get those travel plans ironed out! Janet, is Andrew moving an issue because of kennelling your animals? I dont understand.??? Steph; LOVED your posts. I really heard the honesty... A lot of what you said about worthiness smacked me right in the head... we are so much alike. NOW the chewing thing, where is your beef jerky girl? I have to leave for work in a few minutes, but I have so MUCH to say!!!!! Wii challenge sounds good, I'm IN! I'll start today. cbl girls, Candice
  24. Oh girls, I forgot to tell you THere is a ZIPline at Blue Mountain near the scenic caves that I told you about... so we can all go ZIP LINING in July!!!!
  25. Karla, I love the idea of the quilt shop. And in Montana with the long winters, a lot of ladies LOVE to go to their quilt shops and SHOP. THer e are so many ideas on how to make it profitable. I belong to a $10 quilt club, we meet once per month and make ONE block from a 12 block quilt. The shop charges $10 for teh club. For that you get the fabric and instructions to build ONE block. If you show up for classs each month 1) on time, 2) with your block completed from last month, 3) stick around for 1/2 hour after class and listen to the sales pitch... You end up with 12 completed blocks at the end of the year and all you have to do is complete the borders and backing and quilt it... Its a great way to get a quilt cheaply especially if you are a beginner. Also my quilt shop send around a EMAIL newsletter with sales and upcoming classes on in each month...keeps the ladies coming back over and over again... Stephanie, I'll do the wii with you starting today, what are the perameters? just do it? or do we do it for a certain length of time??? what??? My Cousin Laurie and her DH were down for the long weekend and I had them doing Wii yesterday. He's from Newfoundland and is really a funny guy thick ACCENT and it was sofunny watching him try to hoola hoop. But they loved it. Janet; not too bad with food this weekend, as I said earlier I made NO dessert. BUt last night my cousin said it was HER turn to cook, she made a SHRIMP stirfry (delicious) and then we had a key lime pie for dessert...!!! BUt its GONE now, and for breaky today I had cereal, skim milk and lunch was protien bar 240 cals. I have NO idea how much wine I drank over the weekend... so I'll just leave my confession there.. hic ...have you purchased your plane ticket yet for July???? Lucky 7 Cruise? in JULY we'd have to do Alaska or the Atlantic seaboard cruise or we could Cruise the Rhine River in Europe!!! The carribean would b e deadly in JULY!!! Kari: I should be like you and get out and dig in the garden... I have just been so sleepy today!!!! I had a bath earlier and fell asleep in the TUB!! I have today off work, as it is Queen Victoria's Birthday celebration here and is a statutory holiday!!! YEAH!! DD and DSil2B were also up on the weekend, they were checking out florists, photographers and Cake lady for the wedding... oh my she is getting stressed about the wedding plans.
