Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
Janet; can you get one of those PRIVACY Screens for the front of your monitor, they just clip on.... and prevent anyone from seeing what you're working on. You could use the excuse to purchase it "Insurance info is confidential, ie customers billing info etc.. and I don't want to put that trust in jeapardy".... then nobody can sneek up on you and read over your shoulder  I am glad the kittens are doing well. They sound so cute!

Oh Karla; What a great gift!! I am so happy for you that you got ALLTHATFABRIC for free!!! You have a wonderful idea for the Dad... I know he will LOVE that quilt when you get it made. How many other quilt projects do you have to put on the back burner while you get that done hee,hee  ???

Karla; those websites are fabulous!! You are right about the pricing:rolleyes: too! Its done with a Whole cloth quilt right, and then the pattern is cut out and then the RED or contrast color is put underneath and edges stitched by hand (under) is that what I see? Ummm, they are beautiful.

I havn't had time to go bak and re-read all the pages missed yet. Got home this aft about 3:30 from the Camp... it is nice to be home, but honestly I could've stayed gone longer. The doggies were really enjoying themselves up at the lake, rain and all. DH and I got talking on the way home about "our" diets... So Janet; thank you for posting the link to TLC lapband journal get your shit back together site.... I signed up and printed off all the menus for the next couple of weeks. Back to basics... so tonight for supper I had 3 oz. Pork tenderloin, 1/4 cup carrots.... then just now I had a wee snack. I made up some Deviled Eggs with Fat free Mayo... and I ate 1/2 of one, just enough to take the edge off my hunger for this evening. I will have another cup of tea before bed with skim milk. I'll post more tomorrow and read about what I've missed being away. Love C

Don't think we'll be climbing up "CLIFF LAKE MOUNTAIN" this year... its been too wet and the rocks up there would be way to slippery... also I dont' think I am as in good a shape cardio wise as i was last year at this time. I just havn't been working out as much as I should. But that is going to change.... I am really looking forward to getting better ackwainted with that LAPBAND site and following some of its guidelines and menues... time to get back to BASICS with MY band.... and LIFESTYLE... I know you know what I mean, you guys have all lost 100+ lbs and I am only 65... no excuses... I got off the track that's all... I am the only one to blame... But alas, I am still on holiday rfight now and access to my DSISTER's computer is at HER whim... not mine.. getit??? She has to be Yaking at me every minute of every waking hour.... She can't help it, 6 mos in MEXICO with No one to speak English to, then 6 mos up at the CAMP in the Canadian Wilderness, no nextdoor neighvbors to drop in on.... Ohmy!!! MISS you gals, and love you more than better.....(you don't bug me and get on my last nerve) ha,ha,ha..

WOW, I'd tell him for sure... turn it around... what if HE had some illness and surgery and didn't tell YOU.. wouldn't you be pissed? I am sure that after the initial SHOCK, he'll be supportive too... sometime medical stuff just scares the beejeezers out of our guys... Let him look after you after surgery... really You'll be up and at'em the next day anyways... maybe a little gas pain in your shoulder area but that's about it... I went thru the surge. TWICE... both times my DH went with me and looked after me...

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
Oh Steph, you sound so down. I am so sorry your life sucks so bad right now. You don't have to feel guilty for not "giving to us" on the thread, you have a full plate and its time for some "YOU" time. What kinds of things usually bring you joy? I know you have a good strong mate in Jeff... can you lean on him? What about a counselor? Did you have something t'd up with a family counselor - that might be a good place to start. No more talk about ESCAPING o.k.? You are stronger than you think girl... and NObody would want a world without STEPHANIE in it!!!! I MEAN IT.... You have had challenges in the past and you'll have them again... but the most important thing to remember is "THAT YOU have all the necessary tools to get you thru this.""" You have your faith in GOD You have your friends and family support You have anti-depressants if needed You have a good strong backbone and brain... I wish I was closer so I could give you a big HUG, or offer some babysitting releif for you... or take Michael for the weekend, just something to give you a break. BE stong, WE love you more than BETTER!!

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
Karla, how is your WATER intake??? I don't think it is the art. sweetners.... maybe this is just a plateau that you have to ride out. OR... try the WENDY PLAN; Mon 1000 cals, Tues 1100 cals, WED 950 cals;Thur 1200 cals, Fri1100 cals, Sat 1000 cals and Sunday 1150.... This way your BODY gets "tricked" into continueing to lose... if we eat the exact number of cals per day... Our bodies HOLD onto stored fat cause it thinks there is a famine... Just some info that I've heard. CAN

I'm eating what I want today because I feel like that's the only thing I get to do for me. Today is about what I want. How bad is that? Happy Sunday, everyone; LInda I take it the visit from your sister did not go well? Or are you just glad to see them go? What is your family placement? Are you the oldest daughter/youngest??? I am the baby of the family, and when I get with "family" I am still 14 yrs old... I hate it!!! I am a caring, accomplished person, had a successful career and STILL them make me feel like a little kid. Linda; you are awesome... don't let the blues get ya... or if it does... make it a SHORT and SWEET visit from the BLUES BROTHERS. you are starting back on a full semester of work, so its natural to be stressed out with all the prep work you must do... have you and Mel sat down and figured out WHEN you CAN retire? THen start doing the countdown to freedom!!! Janet? must be a the gym today doing penance... I only have to suffer thru MONDAY and TUESDAY patients and then I'm off in my RV up north!...

Tilapia Fish, How I do it. Take 2 cups of Corn Flakes, put in a ziplock bag and Crush them all wiht a rolling Pin or beer bottle(hic) Then toss in spices... ie. Paprika, onion pwdr, garlic pwdr, salt, pepper whatever your taste buds prefer. Then rinse and paper towel dry your fish. Take a beaten egg into a bowl, DIP your dry FISH into the eggwash and then into the Baggie with the Cornflakes/spice mixture. Spread fish on a lightly greased (PAM) cooking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes at 350F.... YUM<YUM<YUM... even my Non-fish-loving Sister will eat Tilapia this way... or pan fry it too if you like. Both versions produce a nice crispy coating...

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
Hi Janet; oh GF... BIG HUGS for you!! Don't be too hard on yourself... you've gone such a long time without a major slip...Don't beat yourself up for feeling stressed about the move, car troubles, preggers Cat, or the insurance debacle... you did all you could to address the insurance issue... so don't worry about that anymore. And as for the tears, sometimes that's the only allowable outlet for "us ladies" if we scream and yell or huff and puff like the guys... "they" call us Bi!ches... you get all this pent up emotion from whatever source and it just has to boil over.... so we tear up. Its not woossy it's just how we were raised as "nice little girls" and as much as you hate doing it...we are almost powerless to stop the flow of tears. ( I know I am!!!) I don't slam doors, or stomp my feet or YELL at my spouse.. I just go have a real good cry and sometimes that's enough to blow over... {or if I am REALLY ANGRY i clean the house like a demon} I liked what you mentioned about "having so much to be grateful for" .... once the dust settles its easier to have better perspective and then count your blessings. Start with a small list of grat's and then build on it daily.. I often tuck this little tid bit of paper away then, months later when I'm feeling poopy - I drag it out and re-read it... It helps me very much... Karla; I know a few teachers who just dread this time of year.. it dosn't mean you are a bad teacher = its just that your perspective changes over the years... You start out very idealistically and then reality sets it... I think NOW you are just wise enough to be real about teaching... Linda & Phyl; the RV is getting full of kitchen stuff, BBQ equipment and all kinds of other little tid bits. Yesterday DH and I went shopping for creature comfort things for the RV. Its all good, he's getting more "into" it now... I had my afternoon nap in it yesterday with the FAN on... very comfortable.. Have to go find DOUBLE sheets now... Everything I own is Queen or King. More later ladies!....

o.k. now I am no Nurse or Respirologist but common sense wise... it kinda makes sense to me to increase the air flow as you have lost 120 lbs... and if our tissues on the inside are anything like the tissues on the outside(skin) then maybe this loose flesh is colapsing more into your wind tube and creating some blockages for adequate air flow. JMHO

Hey Linda; I know you think of US guys often... I can feel your presence at times too.. several times during the day thoughts of the "Seven's" pops into my thoughts... I smile, remember something we all laughed about - its such a nice feeling to have such GREAT FRIENDS... it really sucks that we are all so far away and that we only have next years adventure to look forward too. I love the sound of the SPA... yummy indeed. I had a nice letter earlier today from Phyl.. her preop testing day went well... Tomorrow I'm going to start stocking the RV with kitchen stuff, bedding, towels etc... so it'll be all set to roll whenever HIS HIGHNESS decides he can take some time off of this OTHER hobbies.. Weather this weekend is supposed to be GREAT, so I don't know why he is waiting... oh yeah, he can work in the shop when the rains come!! Night, night. Love C
