Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
Oh Linda; the itch is coming back. I've completed my SECOND course of Prednisone, I am OFF all HRT, OFF all laundry detergents ( oonly use Ivory Snow, and double RINSE) so the only thing left that I could be allergic to is my Bipolar med. Seroquel.... so now I am waiting to see if the rash GETS back to HORRIBLE perportions (right now its just slightly red & dry)... its a pain in the ass.. (pardon the pun, cause that's where the rash is, plus my left underarm) So I think that I should gradually reduce my Seroquel until I'm off it , give it TWO weeks and then re-introduce it to see if it sets off the rash again... this ia a slow idiotic process and I hate it:mad: Just wish my skin would return to normal! :bored:

Hey Jackie; let her know that the liquid diet pre=surgery is VERY important to the success of her surgery. The liquid diet SHRINKS the LIVER prior to surg. therefore the LIVER will not be so fatty and large as the SURGEONS have to lift it out of the way to do the stomach surgery... this is the reason for the liq diet... so perhaps if she understands WHY it will make it easier to be compliant. Also, this is a New Lifestyle EATING PLAN she is embarking on. The surgery is not the be-all end-all of weight loss. Everyone on this site can tell you the surg. is only the FIRST step... weight loss comes from consistently EATING HEalthier... forever... I myself spent a whole year at 178, screwing around with my food, eating small portions yes, but a lot of the WRONG foods, and we lapbanders ALL know that SLider foods, junk, sugar foods go right on thru the band.. even when we have PERFECT restriction. I am now back to counting calories, carbs, fibre & protien daily... its the only way I stay accountable... dah and then guess what? I started to lose again... It ain't easy. I don't always like it. But somedays I do liquids for breaky and lunch and then have solid food for supper... I try and stay busy, as when I am bored.... I eat!! Why does she like th sound of Roux-n-Y over Gastric Sleeve? I am just curious:confused:

AND NOW FOR MY FAVORITE!!! Husband and wife are waiting at the bus stop with their nine children. A blind man joins them after a few minutes. When the bus arrives, they find it overloaded and only the wife and the nine kids are able to fit onto the bus. So the husband and the blind man decide to walk. After a while, the husband gets irritated by the ticking of the stick of the blind man as he taps it on the sidewalk, and says to him, 'Why don't you put a piece of rubber at the end of your stick? That ticking sound is driving me crazy.' The blind man replies, 'If you had put a rubber at the end of YOUR stick, we'd be riding the bus, so shut up." :blushing:

Jackie, Roux-n-Y bypass surgery is so permanent though... for a young woman who hasn't had her children yet, I think I'd opt for LAPBAND (which you can let out during pregnancy) or the Gastric SLeeve... the GS is great as it dosn't reroute your bowels and cause vitamin defincianie's... less invasive surg. than Roux_n-Y bypass, but it does not require after care adjustments like the band...JMHO for what its worth. :blushing:

Linda: Candice-- Sound's like Peter's really getting into the RV. I bet you'll be upgrading sooner rather than later. And what is he saying about "The Dress?" Yes, Peter does like the dress... as a matter of fact he came dress shopping with me... I thought he'd faint when the girl rang up the sale $500 for my designer outfit.. but ya know what, my DD is never going to get married again right? ANd I feel gorgeous in the outfit, so its all worth it... ANd its something that I can wear again, and again...

Phyl; Send me your reg# for CampClubUSA and Peter will forward it with our application ... you might as well get some benefit eh?? Kari; getting cooler weather now in Mich eh? I went mother of the bride shopping today... and SUCCESS... I found something really nice... Its not a long MOFTB dress... its a TWO peice outfit... Plain Black jersey top, 3/4 sleeves and kind of Ruched in the abdomen and sleeves... plus the neckline is a two way thingy... 2 little zippers on a diagonal from the neck outward... then you ZIP them down and VOILA an alternate neckline.... really sexy I think.. The skirt is a Pewter skrunky firm material (forget the name of the fabric) it has a tapered black elastic waist (hidden by the top) and it flares out toward the hemline (just above the ankle) The extra cool part is the Skirt has these hidden buttons in the lining that if you do up, skrunches the hem line up like a flouncy curtain (use you imagination) Anyways, it looks awesome on me (hubby thought so too, so I'm not pissed at him anymore) and I have a SHAPE!!! A Bust / a waistline/ a neckline and skinny little ankles at the bottom... WIN WIN WIN I can wear it over agian,, change the top to PURPLE or RED... wear the TOP with BLack slacks whatever... Then I bought a cashmina in Pewter Paisley, just in case I need a wrap.... WHAT A RELEIF to have it bought!!! So now black stockings and black open toe shoes? or should I look for PEWTER Shoes????
