  3. I was reading your posts a few months ago and hadn't visited here lately. I am so glad to read that you got your NEW band. Good luck on your 2nd journey... I'll be watching and eager to see your results. Going for my 7th fill Wed. 19th, I'm currently at 9.75cc's and again feeling no restriction and am eating too much....
  4. I thought I was the only weido with a "loud" stomach... It is really embarasing when I am treating a patient and my stomach goes 'argh-hag-yak-rulge' I just go 'Oh excuse me, I forgot to eat breakfast'..... even though I've eaten my 'portion' and my mid morning snack... its just weird since banding, "its" very vocal.... oh well, could be worse... at least its not 'toots'!!! I am going for my 7th fill this coming Wednesday:tired... hope to be tighter... oh so nice to b e able to go all day on a yogurt.... oh happy day~~~:bounce:
  5. Hey Phyl; you are so sweet! I am glad that I took that picture then... its funny how 'we' are so hard on ourselves. I almost didn't post it as I thought my nose looks really long and pointy since I've lost some weight LOL!! Janet; Give your pouchy a hug and kiss from me.... I LOVE dogs.... more than most people.... I am a real gonner for the 4 legged furries....
  6. Oh Janet, I am so sorry to hear your puppy is not well... I just hate it when they can't tell you whats wrong.
  7. Donna D; Yup, no restriction again! I could feel a tiny 'gurgle' when I swallowed Water for a day or two... now a week out...nothing.. NO PB'ing... I can eat bread, pizza even dry roast beef!!! I thought for sure the beef will give me a test...nope. nadda. zippo So I wrote to Daryl this even and asked to be booked for a floro in Jan... we'll see what comes of that request. Meanwhile I am getting another fill next wed 19th. How are YOU doing? Is your weight loss coming along? are you restricted to where you'd like to be? Doddie: Thanks for the replys, I making my mini goal to lose 5lbs by Xmas but I think a revision to just not GAIN any will be acceptable... perhaps in the New Year I'll see my dreams come true.
  8. Well, you have company my dear. I too am disappointed in my bandster life right now. Mysurg. was July 11/07 and with the preop diet and post op mush diet lost 20 lbs. been on average 1 lb per month... still no restriction, I'm going for 8th fill next wed. Good luck. C

  10. Trace W. Curry, M.D. Lap Band Surgeon :: Office and Financial Info :: Affordability :: Affordability Calculator I found this site, very interesting to see how much Lap Band Surg. will save us in $$$$$
  11. :clap2: Best of luck to you today, I'll keep positive thoughts for a speedy, uneventful recovery... WALK< WALK:WALK off those gas pains...
  12. That is an awesome milestone - you ROCK on and inspire all of us!
  13. When I go to parties, I take grape tomatoes, baby carrots or sliced cucumber. Put it on a fancy little plate. THEN you'll have something to nibble on while others are nibbling on the bad stuff. I think we just need to feel that we are 'doing' what everyone else is "doing" so just substitute a healthier nibbly... What about Raw almonds? At my work its terrible, Cookies, brownies everywhere... I pack my purse with Clementines this time of year... Good luck:hungry:
  14. Oh yes, it can be frustrating.... waiting for these fills to kick in. I just booked another 19th Dec. then if that dosn't work I'm going to ask for a Flouro in Jan. But I am trying to be positive... went to the gym today and did a BIG workout on the treadmill 2.5% incline at speed of 3.8 for 45 mins. Now if I could just get my eating under control again....
  15. Exercising today. Ate 1500 cals yest. more than I would have liked but I worked a 12 hour day... agh! Good news, I only had 1/2 brownie at work... Its a Medical clinic and this time of year all the 'grateful' px bring in goodies for us... OMG There was abasket of Clementines so I ATE 3 of them only 46 cals each. Hanging in until my next fil
  16. Hi Janet; I for one would never be scared off by ANY of your posts. You are the ROCK of the Lucky 7's board... You are always full of cheer and support. I laughed when I read about getting up at night to eat, you are right I don't do that but I get up several times a night to 'p'...LOL Oh my but I digress. Exercise, humm I am going to do some of that today... I promise.. right here yup you read right - I am making a committment and I'll check back on the site later and let you know what I did.:whoo: 59 degrees, sounds like heaven! It's dipping below zero here in Ontario... We have 1 foot ( I am usually a metric gal but I know most prefer US measurements) of soft white snow here and the downhill skiiers are very happy. Should be a good season for the resorts. On a sadder note, my gas fireplace conked out yesterday so I am sitting at my computer with a quilt wrapped around me... Up way too early today so I'm going back for some more :notagree
  17. Well here I am posting again... I did spark people all day ate 1,481 cals today. Not my goal of 1200 but its not too bad. And I am going to bed now... so no more eating. Evenings are my challenge.. I had some Trail Mix which put me over by plan... but it wasn't chocolate or something with no nutritional value... sleep tight everyone!
  18. Dear Julie; You are such a generous person to let us all in on your PS journey. The pictures are worth a 1000 words... so I won't trouble you with mine. Congrats and best of luck with the Breast surg.
  19. Wow, what a nice "newsy" day Great, everybodies on board and IndioGirl, you are a great ring-leader!!! Well, its 10.38pm where I live and I only have to NOT EAT for another 1/2 hr unitl I go to bed. Day off tomorrow, so I am going to put up the Christmas tree and wrap some gifties. 1215 cals today... pretty good for me!!!
  20. !~~~~"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you... Happy Birthday Dear Donna D.... Happy, happy birthday to you......and many more!!!! ~~~~~~
  21. This morning I ate my oatmeal, no problem and I seemed 'full' afterwards. lunch, had 2 meatballs, veggies & Fruit cup.. again "full" on about 3/4 cup food _+ the fruit cup. So I 'think' I feel a little restriction... but not taking super tiny bites. Kinda eating normal mouthfull but chewing very well. No P.B.'s so that's good too. Tomorrow I'll try Rx pills and see how they go down. night, night Just Peachy
  22. Sorry I've been lurking , but not posting. I love keeping up to date on everyone's journey in Lap=land. I guess I havn't posted mluch as I am a bit discouraged at present. 7 fills now, yest another .75CC and now have 9.75 cc's in my 10 cc band(am told it holds 12-13cc's?) anyways, my W/L has stalled and even gained a few...now with Xmas coming .... well you can see why I feel I may have wasted my $16,000 BUT, today I am back on my SparkPeople.com and am going to TRACK every cal that goes into my mouth... even if it is a wee cheat... I am making that COMMITTMENT here as I KNOW you will all keep me honest and accountable. Have a great SUNNY Day today whereever you are. Just Peachy
  23. Thank you so much for your opinions... It really was helpful to me to get your words of encouragement. I drove to T.O. this a.m. and got another fill ( now at 9.75cc) I am going to give this 'one' a chance for a few days then if no more restriction I am going to contact Dr. Yau. I did feel a little gurgle of restrict. while drinking my compulsory 500ml of Water in the waitng room.... so for supper I had a Protien shake and we'll see what the morning brings. Keep me posted GREEN on how your testing goes. ((((hugs)))) Peaches
  24. Before my last fill I asked Nancy RN to defill me and then refill me with 8.25 cc and she said she wouldn't! "It is not recommended" she told me. I feel like I am being ignored. I phoned Jill yest. and she thought I needed a flouro too. Then I called the fill nurse and she says no, you probably just need another fill... Lots of people need more than 9 cc's... Who should I call? I dont' want to use Dr. Yau's emergency number plus I hate geting someone in sh!te but, jeeez:mad:
  25. Hi Lorily; Arn't 'female' complaints a drag? Remember to not lift or vacuum for 4 - 6 wks after surg. give yourself some ME time to heal. ((((hugs)))) Peaches
