  9. Sheri you are not a failure! I think you might be going the wrong direction with your calories. With so much exercise you might need to raise them. Your body could be “death gripping” every ounce for survival. Of course it could just be a regular stall with your body adjusting. If that’s the case I really don’t think there’s anything we can do that really “breaks” a real stall. I reluctantly looked back and I have “only” lost 5 lbs this month, which is down from over 12lbs a month. I’m crossing my fingers to make up a few of those lbs in the days left of May or a least make it up a bit in June. I think it’s just the natural order of things...I sure hope it is anyway.

  15. Congrats on breaking that stall! Today I hit my mini goal of 189lbs! Yay!! I have not been sticking strictly to plan, bites here and there of things I don’t normally eat, not drinking enough, eating too many calories in nuts and eating too much in general. Today I’m committing to getting in 100oz of water and cleaning up my eating. Getting back to serious business!!

  18. I think that’s true for some. I also think there are lots of other reasons. Some gain due to medications they have to take, other medical reasons or like me, my sleeve was not done properly to start with so my tool subpar from the start. I hope all of us are successful with whichever surgery we have ?
  19. Congrats Everything!!! Brag away!! Well I was a gambler prior to surgery and I’m still a gambler now. It’s been a small issue, hopefully it doesn’t grow to a bigger issue.

  22. Transforming, I don’t thing most Feb surgeries have lost 70lbs. I’m a revision from sleeve to rny, 2/12/19, and I’ve lost 40lbs since surgery, 50 including the preop diet. I lost 28lbs in the 6 months leading up to the preop diet though.
  23. Gotta, I don’t normally feel starving like that. I usually just get hungry at meal times and I get “head hunger” at night, but this is different. I normally keep my carbs in the 20g range. Maybe it’s an adjustment thing and it would be better in a day or 2. Idk, but I don’t like it, lol.
  24. Uggg, I decided to try an experiment by upping carbs and calories a bit since I’ve been keeping everything very low. I’m a bit nervous that if I keep everything this low I’ll have no room to drop further if weight loss stops. So I had 1/4 c of oatmeal (no sugar) and 1/2 sf Greek yogurt for breakfast. For lunch I had tuna and 1/4 c of Mexican corn and I swear I have felt like I’m staving. I don’t usually snack between meals, so this feeling is unusual for me. I already had cheese/almond/craisen snack thing, 9 carbs, but dabs I feel like I’m shaky and starving already. Clearly I can’t handle 10 carbs at a time I guess....
  25. Gaby, I’m honestly not sure how to deal with transfer addiction, except I hear learning to meditate can help with dealing with our emotions.
  26. Gaby, what transfer addiction are you experiencing?
  27. Mishu I am a revision from sleeve to rny and am constantly questioning what is the best path to insure success. I just can’t help feeling like we need to keep calories/carbs very low to be successful after failing one surgery already. It’s scary for sure.

  32. Yes, it can certainly be the candy. Those things can cause gastric distress in a regular stomach.
  33. Sheri- maybe it will happen very soon. I’ve said before, my weight loss has a pattern. I lose between 2-4 lbs over 2-3 days, then the next few days I’ll bounce up, come back to my low and then lose again 2-3 days. Even though I know this, I often have to look back at my history to see when the scale dropped last because it can feel like weeks even though it usually only been 5 or 6 days.
  34. My information says we’re good after 3 months for raw veggies. I’ve been doing green smoothies with berries for a while now a few times a week with no ill effects. I’m careful to measure 1/4 cup of them because carbs in a smoothie can add up quick.
  35. You’ve been through a lot, but you’ve made fabulous progress! Congratulations
