October Sleevers - Who else
- Progress at 2.5 months with pics.
You look GREAT!!!! Good work!! {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- Pureed Food!
You haven't either? I emailed my nutritionist this morning and she said if i needed it i could take the MOM but that I really need to increase my fluids because I told her I'm really not hungry and having a hard time drinking my fluids. She told me try harder! Damn tough love!! I held out all day to see if it would happen and it hasn't so I'm just drinking it now. I figured it would take a while but it's been 8 days!! {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- October Sleevers - Who else
I have a pill form of Prilosec I have to take nightly for 2 months. I also have a stomach emptying/nausea pill I have to take twice daily for one more week until it's gone. And OTC liquid Tylenol I bought for pain. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- Pureed Food!
I'm not. I still feel bloated, but I also haven't gone número dos. It's been 8 days!!! I'm taking some MOM. I'll probably lose 5 lbs {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- This is really happening.

Davalrie, no fair no fair!!!! You get to eat?!?!!!? I have to be on full strained liquids for 8.5 more days-October 24th to be exact. Argh! {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- This is really happening.
- Stomach Sleepers
I too crave to lay on my stomach but wouldn't do it at this point so I won't put too much pressure on my incision sites. I just build a little fortress on my left side and tilt onto them as much as I can. It's nice. I do the same on the couch. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- October Sleevers - Who else
Aggi, you have to be more descriptive. If your talking about the gas pain yes and you need to walk. If not call your doctor. I see some people on here have pain postop and some don't- I personally think physician technique may also play a part in postop pain since they all do things different. Plus we are all different and have different pain tolerance too so just saying I'm having pain is too general. I'm just about as far out as you and still having gas pain under my rib cage in my chest daily intermittently, especially noticeable when I wake up, but once I get moving, I feel better. And when I take my first sips of the day, my new tummy protests. If I'm in pain, my doctor cleared me to take Tylenol 3 times daily which totally works and is all I need (I measure an adult dose of the liquid children's form). But anytime you aren't sure about something, always consult your physician since no one knows how bad you feel but you. Sorry it's the nurse in me {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- Before and After Pics
I would take into account that you aren't working out. BTW, 67lbs is ALOT of weight!!!! Just sayin!!! Be proud that's great progress. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- October Sleevers - Who else
I would assume too that you would have some signs if your sleeve were to leak- stomach acid in the abdominal cavity I would think would be incredibly painful. Just take little sips and hopefully your doc does leak test as well. Also hopefully your doc staples and sutures. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- October Sleevers - Who else
It's true! It was a really good experience for me too. I'm glad someone else said it wasn't bad too. The worst part- I can't bend over just yet! {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- Condiments
Walden Farms makes calorie free ketchup and mayo. Don't know how good they are though. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- October Sleevers - Who else

Why do pics come out sideways when you upload them? Oh well {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- Which Surgeons Are Most Recommend?
I went to Dr Ariel Ortiz and Dr Arturo Martinez at the Obesity Control Center. Everything went great for me and all in my group- there were 5 of us ranging from ages mid 30s to mid 60s. I was sleeved this past Monday. Time will tell how good everything goes but so far really good. No pain! Just gas pain occasionally which is normal! {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- Dr. Fernando Garcia vs. Dr. Ariel Ortiz

Covatila, I went through everything that happened with me play by play in another thread {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- Did you keep your surgery a secret?
I made a completely different decision- I chose to share with everyone that I was having surgery. The reason being was that at work, we run around all day like crazy working the main one being me and I need that support when I go back that I need to take my breaks and I need to drink my Water. I do know that when I go back there will be a million questions and I will have no problems with that, however I do not plan on discussing my weight on a daily basis and know that more than likely will be an issue. I plan on changing jobs in the near future as well anyway, but I will definitely lay down the law and let people know I don't want to be asked how much I weigh/ have lost anymore than any other woman. There's a difference to me between sharing on here with all of you versus co-workers. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}- Does chub rub go away?
You all are too funny! I'm so mad I read this I had to hold my tummy I was laughing so hard! Now it hurts a little! I've never heard those terms! I was going to treat my chub rub with skin brightener while I'm home for a month. I need to start right now. Flap slap LOL! {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(} - Progress at 2.5 months with pics.
