  1. RJ, I would think that it would be appropriate for those of us who are preop to ask you to answer some of those questions for us. From the looks of your before and after pictures, you have had success with your sleeve. Maybe you can answer them for some of us.
  2. What are you doing to prepare before Monday? Are you prepared? I live alone and I still have so much to do. Some things on my list include getting a pedicure tomorrow, doing my hair, mopping, cleaning the house and the carpet, buying my broths (I don't have my postop diet instructions yet and don't really know what to buy, but I know that I will need at least that), and finish clearing the refrigerator out of things that are no longer welcome.
  3. My preop diet is going well so far. In the first few days, I was dropping like 3-4lbs daily, then it slowed down to 1lb or less daily. So far in the past few weeks, I've lost 25lb from the start and 33lbs from my highest weight. Hopefully when I weigh myself tomorrow, I'll be in twunderland (don't know how to spell it!). Haven't seen the 200s in a couple years!
  4. After all the protein drinks I've tried, this one is at the top of my list. It's the one thing I've had that tastes nothing like protein (you now the aftertaste factor). I had it for a week and I didn't open it since I was trying other things and I wish I opened it sooner! I will be ordering more containers today so I don't run out. It's one scoop to 8 ounces of water and you get 17 scoops in a container. I mix it with a bit more water than that and it's perfect for me. I'm out of town right now, but when I get back home I'm going try the unflavored and post on it tomorrow. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  5. I agree its soooo good. I have the unflavored but have not opened it yet. The chicken soup flavor is a must have and it has SO much protein! I was so surprised when I tasted it. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  6. Thank you so much Blondiee! {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  7. I think I would literally choke someone for three French fries! Just 3 fries!!! I'm not hungry but I just keep smelling what people are eating around me is annoying!!! The smell seems stronger for some reason. Weird. Even when someone was eating crackers next to me I could smell it. One of my coworkers was standing over me eating a cookie the other day and I had to get up and walk away! I was so annoyed! I have 2 more days of work left before I get sleeved Monday. So happy! {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}

  10. I can have coffee and tea on my preop diet, but what I've been doing is just putting about 1/4 cup in my premier protein shake so in addition to getting my 30gm of protein, I'm 1) getting a little caffeine and 2) changing up the taste of the drink. Works for me!
  11. So here's a new one. Let me preface this by saying I HATE going into the bank. Everytime I do the teller says something dumb and/or intrusive and I end up pissed off for the rest of the day. I don't go in often as I do most of my banking via ATM because if I actually had to go into the bank on a regular basis I would much rather run through a burning building that's how annoying they are. And it's not just me- my boyfriend goes in and the same thing with the dumb questions plus flirting with him. Don't know when this whole thing started at the bank because it wasn't like this before. Anyway I go into the bank to get my certified check for my surgery today. I'm standing in line knowing something dumb will be said to me before I exit the door. I get to the window and the younger girl asks me what I would like to do and I tell her so the process is started. After a couple minutes of tapping her keyboard and filling out the withdrawal slip she asks for my ID which I give her. She them continues doing what she has to do, then decides to comment on my picture- "You look different?! Did you take that picture in high school?" It wasn't just what she said it was the way she said it. I'm not ultra sensitive either, I'm aware when a female is trying to throw an insult. Instead of taking my ID back and telling her to go f-@; herself, I decide to say no (I took that license picture in 08 and didn't need to go in for a renewal last year so it's the same). Then proceeds again to say you look different. She then asks me if I'm buying a house with the money, so I pause and give her a look to let her know I'm done with her and say no. Ultimately She thanks me for my 17 years banking with them, I get my check leave and immediately call the manager to speak with her about the situation. She proceeds to say people take other peoples ID all the time and even I had a lady today who had lost a lot of weight and didn't look like her picture. Ok if that's the case then say that. Don't tell me I look like I'm in high school (which by the way was 17 years ago) that means I look the same just older which means I look like my ID picture and you shouldn't be questioning me anyway. There is a tactful way of you are questioning my identity since I know that's their concern. So not only is the teller dumb the manager is too. I'm closing my account there while I'm off for my surgery. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  12. I'm just doing what my NUT told me Shakes throughout the day, unlimited leafy greens (lettuce, kale, broccoli), calorie free dressing, and water. I'm also drinking Isopure zero carb protein drinks. I'm sure it will probably slow down as I keep going. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  13. Preop diet going well so far people! My stats so far Day 1-319 2-317 3-313 4-309 5-307.4 Surgery Oct 7th- excited! {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  14. They are good but man- the chipotle ranch is sooo spicy! It's cool but definitely has some kick! So does the Ceasar. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  15. Oops Davalrie, forgot the shakes. I have been using a few- Unjury has been okay- not as much of an aftertaste as others. I love love love the caramel Atkins shakes. I have to go buy some more today. The Premier shakes are ok and I have been mixing them with about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of coffee every morning. I have been doing my diet since Sunday and lost 9lbs in 3 days. I'm sure it will slow down, but definitely off to a good start. I have some other things coming in the mail. My surgeon has his own line of shakes himself that I'll be using when they come in the mail. I asked my. NUT about the Isopure carb free beverages from GNC and she said they were ok too. My favorite so far is the grape flavor with a packet of lemonade crystal light (the real CL. I got the Walmart brand and it was not so good). I still have some experimenting to do with the Isopures and the jello too. I have so much to do and I only have today and next Tuesday off before my surgery. I need to get off of here and go do my errands! {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  16. Great job!! That is wonderful progress {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  17. The dressings are by Walden Farms. They are fat, carbohydrate, calorie, gluten, sugar, cholesterol, any and everything free- so the label says. They also have many other items like chocolate syrup and pasta sauce. I was going to purchase them on Amazon but I found them in the grocery store.
