  2. I know. I can see a difference in my face a lot and my clothes definitely fit looser and some I don't fit anymore, but I probably will wait a while longer for update pics {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  3. BigLew, You're doing great! I love that you're already posting updates. I don't feel ready yet {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  4. Ok. I didn't know the reason you were scared and I completely understand. I was terrified and scared too that I had made a crazy decision. But trust in yourself that you've done your homework and have made a good decision. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  5. He's actually looks really good right now. He was on THE Soup a few weeks ago. I like that show because I love his personality. He lost weight. I think he's doing a different show now though. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  6. You go girl!! You look great. Did you see my post on the Dr Ortiz/ OCC thread? {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  7. Why are you scared? Did you do your research? {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  8. Newme, I had my surgery Oct. 7 and everything went well. Thank you so much for the support and kind words ! Since you're a year out, how are you? How has it been for you over this years time? Did you do your EGD? {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  9. Raven you are doing so well. You are so much braver than me. I'm eating an ounce at a time. I'm so scared to vomit! Maybe I should be measuring instead of weighing. BTW , the papers say do one ounce servings but I missed how many servings daily. I looked at both handouts but didn't see it. Are you feeling hunger at all? {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}

  11. Ooh I forgot. I've been able to bend over with no problem since yesterday and my steri-strips fell off of my JP drain site. I thought it would be a huge hole site but it isn't! Little marks just like the rest of them. My other incisions are doing well- they hardened a little bit but still look good. Really thin lines. The one at the bra line is really undetectable but still a little tender so I'm still using my sports bras. One more thing that may be TMI-keep MOM handy. I thought I had accomplished something by having my second BM since surgery (my first was a milk of magnesia miracle), so much so I shared what I felt was about to happen with the BF who was less than impressed. Well, I was calling on sweet baby Jesus to help me it was so bad. I will officially be taking MOM every 2-3 days.
  12. Update!!! So today I started eating puréed food-smack me on the hand because I started a day early. I couldn't take ONE more shake. I've been so over them for a few days now, haven't been drinking them appropriately because they along with everything else made me nauseous, and I've had super low energy. So that's why I decided to move forward. I seriously had never been so happy to have a couple spoons of food! I had 2 spoons of sugar free applesauce and a couple spoons of Malto Meal (shout out to my BF for this he randomly wanted it this morning) and was literally dancing in my kitchen! It was so good I had the energy to do all the dishes, do a few loads of laundry, and scrub the floors twice (yes twice I wasn't satisfied). So happy. That was all I needed to drink my shake/vitamin with no fuss this AM. Then I had an ounce of deli turkey with a dash of FF mayo and was excited again. That's amazing how delicious everything tastes after not eating for a month (I had an extended diet because of my BMI). Yummy!! {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  13. I don't know if I'm going to be so accomplished. I had Malto meal BUT IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  14. After surgery it's important to be getting the appropriate amount of nutrients especially since we are in a malnourished state. If you look at what's in gummies and what's in bariatric vitamins they kinda don't measure up. Also with all the side effects like hair loss taking the appropriate vitamins long term is of utmost importance. I blend my vitamin into my shake. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  15. Jinxxy's right. You're probably eating/drinking too much too fast. I'm over 2 weeks out and still on liquids. Lay off the beans! {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
  16. There's a thread about this product that people say is tasty. I'm too early to try it but plan on it. http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/97322-crunchamame-my-new-love/ {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}
