Sounds like you're just in a funk. Something good will happen that will change your attitude. Unfortunately, we tend to allow outside events determine our emotional forecast! This is an issue def meant for your therapist and I'm glad you have one to moan, b***h and complain to, not everyone does. I'm also happy to be part of your sounding board, give me your best shot!!!
Since you've lost so much weight, your hormones have probably been up and down, have you thought about meds or maybe changing them if you already take them?? At least until your body is done losing the weight and your hormones balance out.
I hope your life changes to a point where you are happy again and that your true friends love you 'unconditionally' and will help you mend the relationship(s) most important to you.

I've tried going on the weight watchers diet and I followed the meal plans, I managed to gain 6 pounds lol. But, I also have hypo thyroidism so I think thats why I gained weight. The whole cutting of the stomach scares me to pieces, lap band is no longer an option, too many side effects. Its a good thing I have 4 more months. But, I do feel that I'm on yo yo dieting so the sleeve will probably be my only option. Thank you so much.

I am so happy I had the surgery! BUT.... I am having a really hard time with my addiction to food. I can't eat much but I do still try to binge and I don't know how to stop! I am so lost! I am so worried! I am so scared! I also have no energy at all!! I am lazy and I need to be doing! I want to be excited about losing weight and I want to be getting up and walking and doing this right!! I can't get excited about anything anymore!
I am losing it I think!

So sorry to hear about the bad experiences. I firmly believe everything happens for us and not to us. I've been through a lot myself. What I know for sure is I am in charge of my thoughts. I can choose to suffer or focus on what I want and take steps each day in that direction. I get up everyday and journal my thoughts. Anything that is bothering me, regardless of what it is. Then I stop and listen. For years I've been guided on how to think and proceed. Then I write down and say my positive affirmations. Hope that helps! It's changed my life direction for the last 20 years into a great ones!

I hope you feel better. I agree with most of ScottsGirl's quote, but I have to disagree with her about pain medicine slowing down healing. The pain meds are there to help you if you need them. If you are in pain, you may not move which is very necessary after sleeve surgery. It may also prevent you from getting the rest you need to help heal.. There are many sites that discuss pain medication and the healing process, but the one listed here is from the mayo clinic, which in my opinion is a reputable source. http://www.mayoclini...cations/PN00060
While I have not been sleeved have had several surgical procedures and have used pain meds on most of them.
Hope you feel better soon. It won't last and every day will get better.

Caffeine will dehydrate you. (It will also stimulate a big poo...friendly warning!). Wait until you are getting your fluids in regularly and until your potty habits are regular.

To me, the general anesthesia was more of the problem than anything. Yes, I have the sore abdomen...can't side sleep...ect... but the simple stress of the anesthesia was a killer for me. I felt really bad upon waking but it was over pretty quickly. Still worth it. Now my stress is "Will I ever eat again"??? 3 days post and hopeful...

Yeah, for me the gas pain was the worst! My pain tolerance is not the high so I would give it a 7! It hit me about a week after the surgery! Ugh! Only lasted a couple of days...I had to walk it out!!

I had a 3-day Pitocin labor (his head back, and trying to come out chin first!) and then a c-section as well. That was way worse for me than the vsg. There wasn't really "pain" after vsg for me, just massively sore abdomen. It felt like I was punched all over my stomach or like I did 1000 situps consecutively. This lasted about 5 days and was just gone the next morning when I woke up! I had to do the side-roll thing to get out of bed.
I have a high tolerance to pain, so I give mine a 5. The GAS in my abdomen is what REALLY bothered me!!!

I'm wondering if I did some harm to my stomach I pick up 4 books at my college bookstore and I walked with them about 10 minutes to my car and I realize my right side of my stomach hurts horrible. Any way I bend down or twist right it's a kinda sharp stinging pain there, I'm almost 3 weeks postop what should I do? I see the surgeon in 4 days

So in comparison, my husband and I are eating 600 calories a day. And he's 6 feet tall and 248 lbs. AND even at that, we stalled for a week. 1200 calories is a lot. Some vets in maintenance can eat that, but most can't lose on that.
Moreover, we're keeping carbs under 50 all day. A Starbucks medium frappe into has 72 gms of carbs and 430 calories even before whipped cream. Just for comparison, many days I eat less calories and less carbs than that ALL DAY.
My advice to you is to not drink your calories. We all know that drinking your calories will make you put on weight as it is considered a sure-fire way to eat around your sleeve.
I'd suggest download something like my fitness pal and track everything you put in your mouth. Eat at least 70 gms of Protein, less than 50 gms of carbs, and drink 64 oz of fluids in a day. I think you will love the results!
Good luck and I'm sure you can do this!

I understand exactly how you are feeling! I was down right afraid ---- TO DIE! Well, obviously I was over-reacting because here I am! I am 17 days in and can HONESTLY say that I am completely happy that I did it. The surgery only took about an hour and within moments of waking up, I was drinking my Protein and walking within a few hours.
This is going to be a positive journey in your life so you should have no reservations about it. Just focus on the long-term outcome!
