Oh I totally can relate to that. Trust me. When I had my surgery I had my sister & my nieces & nephews up visiting our very ill father/grandpa. I also live with my ill father who is in end stage renal failure (on dialysis) & has a bad heart (docs dont give him too much more time due to his heart) & I also have a roomate that I have to cook for every day. I had good days & bad days when I was on the liquid diet ( I had a couple of melt downs if you ever see some of my other posts) but it does get better & easier. I am only a lil more then 5 weeks out so it was not that long ago I steuggled with having to cook for everyone & not have any of it. Just stay positive & keep your head up & keep looking to the grand prize at the end---- a healthier, happier you!!!!! You did this surgery for a reason & you can use that reason as your motivation!!!! Keep your faith in God & let him help you on your journey!!!! I wish you the very best on your journey & I pray you find strength in your results along the oath of this journey. Anything that is hard in life is worth the work!!!! Nothing is easy & this surgery is definitely not an easy route & it will get rough at times but as long as you can stay positive & focused on your goals you will be happy!!!! I hope this helped you some.

Aww I didnt mean to make you cry. I know it can be rough but just stay positive & every morning when you wake up google a positive qoute for the day & write it down & put it up on the fridge or a cabinet or a mirror & everytime you feel down or upset or even frustrated walk over to it & read it & remind yourself of how great you are & how much you have accomplished each day & even just from having the surgery itself!!!! I mean taht was a huge step to take & that in itself shows courage & determination!!!!! Yoy will do great on your journey & this forum is great for giving that extra lift tou may need as well so always feel free to put up anything you may be feeling whether it is a bad day or even a celebration of your succes!!!!

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
