  1. Vinesqueen~I started using my tread mill this week and have been on it 3 days for 20 minutes. I'm trying to work my self up to more. I haven't measured inches but everyone says I look like I've lost more than 10 pounds and my clothes are looser so I'm sure I've lost some inches too! I guess I'm just in a hurry to lose more weight and I know it didn't get here over night so it will take a while to come off. I keep telling my self 3 weeks and I get a fill and weight lose should start again!!!
  2. Well I'm 2 weeks post op and still down 10 pounds! I started mushy's and the pounds are holding on for dear life. Oh well I know when I get a fill I will start losing again and besides I lost 13 poounds before I got my band for a total of 23 lost in all. I'd say I'm off to a great start!!! Only that last 10 counts towards the challenge though! Hoping to get to a total of 25 by the end of the challenge!!! Thats just 15 more pounds to go!!!
  3. Terri I am so proud that you are regaining your health!!! I'm amazed that you are able to walk and I hope you continue to get well enough to run!!! Congratulations on such a wonderful NSV!!!!
  4. Well it has been 2 weeks since I got banded and am feeling good! I'm down 10 pounds since surgery and I had lost 13 before surgery so I'm down 23 pounds in all!!! But have not lost any more in the last few days. I am starting to wonder if I'm eating enough I am trying to count my calories and I 'm only getting around 700 -800 a day! At this point how many calories should I be getting??I think I am not getting enough and my body is hanging on to every bite! Also I eat and get full pretty quick but I feel like I can eat a little more than 4 oz and then only a couple hours later I'm hungry again. I 'm sure that once I get a fill I will stay full longer. I go to Dr. on April 25th for check up and possible fill.So far I've had no problems with any food I've tried but I did get that stuck feeling on a piece of shaved turkey yesterday and it really hurt for a few minutes. It just didn't go down all the way. I took a deep breath and it felt like it went down after that, but I stoped eating and waited a while to be sure that stuck feeling was gone.I am being more careful and making sure that everything is mushy and not taking any more chances on getting that awful feeling again!! Also I'm getting in alot of water and eating at least 40-50 grams of protein each day! I feel like I'm on the right track but was wanting some suggestions on how much intake of calories is idea for me in the mushy stage???
  5. Welcome and I hope you find a good local Dr.! After care is so important and you should definatly get that lined up first so you are on the right track.Good luck with getting your band and let us know when you get a band date!!!

Just remember to walk alot and sip, sip, sip, on water and other liquids so you will not get dehydrated. Please update us on how you are . You will be holding that little 19 pounds of baby boy again before you know it and just think when you lose weight you will be doing things you would only imagine being able to do.So nice to have such careing people that love you and are willing to help you through such a hard time in your life. 14. Gosh I've only been banded for two weeks and I feel this way already. I feel I can eat more than I should be able to and I sure don't want to mess things up so I eat 4oz of mushy food and even if I still feel hungry I stop so that I don't get my pouch to full. After waiting a few minutes I'm okay and can wait to eat for about 2 to 3 hours but then all of a sudden I'm actually like growling stomach hungry!!! Right now I feel like if I eat 4 times a day I feel better but I know I should only be eating 3 so I hope that is okay too!! Is all this okay and normal??? I'm definatly getting in my water and my protein!!!Yeahh! I'm getting a fill April 25 so I hope it helps!!
