Hi All

Hi everyone!

I am new here, but have been lurking around for a while. I am being banded April 19th. I'm getting anxious to get it over with at this point.

I have an awesome surgeon and a fabulous hospital so the surgery doesn't worry me as much as the pain factor afterwards (I'm a wuss).:cry

Well, just wanted to say hi!

Kris

I was just banded 2 weeks ago and can honestly say I had very little discomfort from the surgery. So I would not worry too much about post-op pain too much and I am sure that you surgeon will provide you adequate pain control meds as well. Most everyone I have talked to said starting the IV was the worst part. Best of luck and keep us posted

Hi Kris! Welcome and it's not that bad. I had the surgery a few days ago and feel SSSOOOO much better every day. The pain isn't really pain as much as uncomfortable in the port area. Not hungry at all but the emotional aspect of food makes me dream of it! I never obsessed about food before like I have been since the liquid diet. I know it's only temporary so remember that and really, it's not that bad. Take care and keep us updated! Laura
