It took me a long while but I did it and I think if it doesn't give me problems I will be in good shape! I will try some pudding or yogurt later but of course take it slow and easy. So happy I'm banded!!!!

  8. Well If it isn't bad enough that my DH has been helping me recover from band surgery on Friday. He dropped a very large piece of steel on his toes yesterday and is now on a walking cast. The tip of his big toe is fractured and he has 10 stiches in the big toe and 6 stiches in the toe next to the big toe. They had to call in a Specialist to sew up his toes because it was so severe. His toes actually split open because of the impact. There fore was very hard to put them back together. They removed both toe nails to try to keep down infection and also to stich under them.we are hoping and praying that he will keep blood flow to the big toe and it will heal correctly! He is so upset that he was suppose to be helping me and now is down himself. Thank God my mother lives next door and is giving so much help to us both. She is our sweet little nurse!!! I am so thankful that he didn't get hurt even worse and also that I am getting around a little bit better.i was able to drink a protein drink this AM and it took a couple of hours but I got it down with no problems at all. I am able to go to full liquids now and hope that will go okay. I am having to make my self sit down and not do to much. I just am not up to all of this right now and I can't speed up my own recovery just because this happened. I just feel helpless that I'm unable to help him much and he feels the same way about not being able to help with to much either. My mom is taking my little girl to school this week and will take DH to foot specialist tomorrow morning. Please remember to say a prayer for us that this time will get better for my family!!!
  9. Congrats willpower!! Hope your feeling better.
  10. Vinesqueen I think This heavy breathing could be dangerous!!!! LOL!!I didn't do this much breathing in those birthing classes LOL!!!

  13. I am sharing this update on Corgi and I hope she doesn't mind! She pm me this morning and said she went through surgery fine but had an awful stay at the hospital. She is home now and in lots of sore pain. It sounds to me she is having a really rough time right now. I know it will get better for her each day. Right now she needs to know we care. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
  14. I think I'm doing a bit better today. I am not quit as sore and I'm moving around a little better.I was able to sleep all night (In recliner)and woke up feeling better today than yesterday. I know tomorrow will be even better. I'm just so glad to be a bandster now. P.s. Did any of you get sent home with alittle breathing exerciser??? You know you take about 10 deep breaths with it every hour. They had me use it at the hospital and then sent it home for me to use just for yesterday. Dr. said I sounded a bit congested and he wanted me to use it to keep my lungs from getting Fluid in them??? Any body else have this happen??
  15. Corgi~ I sure am worried you haven't posted yet. I hope all is okay and that your on your way to a speedy recovery. Please post when you feel better. I'm thinking of you!!!

Phillip~May God Bless you and keep you in the palm of his hand and carry you through your darkest hours.I pray you will find peace and always remember the love that Blossom gave through her life time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
  20. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and recovery wishes. I think I just have alot of sore muscles and that will hopefully be better in a couple of days. I've been using a heating pad today and that seems to be helping some. I'm getting in a good bit of liquids so I won't have any problems with dehydration. I am just thrilled it is finally over and I'm on my way to a good recovery. I weighed this morning and I've already lost 3 pounds .I'm sure it is alot of water weight but I figure any weight lost counts. Thanks to everyone and I will be back to post more tomorrow as I progress to yet another wonderful day of being banded!!!
  21. Trish I coudn't stand it I decide to come and get on LBT and tell you thank you for careing enough to call me all the way from New Mexico!! I was so excited and talking to you made me feel so much better!! Thank you for being such a good friend. Just think your band date is just around the corner and you will be on your way to a healthy happier you!!! Remember you can reach any goals that you set your mind to. Love you girl((((HUGS))))
  22. Hello All you fellow bandsters. I couldn't stand it pain or no pain I had to get on LBT. So I sit at my computer with a pillow pressed against my stomach and not very comfortable. BUT I'M THE HAPPIEST PERSON IN THE WORLD!!! I GOT MY BAND!!! I think the gallbadder surgery went so well it tricked me into thinking this would be a piece of cake.... Man that sounds yummy!!! Just kidding. I'm only sip, sip, sipping on liquids!!!! Any way I've deffenitly had lots more discomfort with the band surgery so far. My stomach muscles feel like I got kicked by a horse about five times. But no nausea/vomiting / no problems with liquid so far. I actually can feel that my band is there. I take a little sip of Water and it feels as though I can tell where my band is and that it is going through it and it sorda bubbles,if you know what I mean.Glad to be home and over the worst part. I do hope tomorrow will be a little less painful. You guys would have loved to have seen me. I got home from hospital and decided I would go lay in my bed and I could not get out of it. I felt like a beached whale that coudn't get back in the ocean. LOL!!! Finally I was able to get up and it was not tearless. It hurt like hurt never hurt before. Now I will not make that mistake again and I will be sleeping in the recliner tonight!!!!Other than that . I am able to drink about 3-4 oz of water an hour comfortably and I haven't venchured to any thing else except a little applejuice. Will post more as I feel better. Thank you all for getting me this far and I'm so glad you will all be here for me through the stages to come. I GOT MY BAND !!!!!(((HUGS TO ALL)))) Formerly Banster wanna be!!! But I'm finally a bandster!!! Yippi!!!!
