  1. I had a "who dat iz?" Moment when I saw your picture! You look fab! I'm sure you will become even more gorgeous as you get closer to your goal.
  2. I have my fingers crossed for you! Keep us posted!
  3. Woo hoo! It will be here before you know it! Most of us know that waiting for insurance approval seemed like siting on pins and needles!
  4. A coworker had it done last year. To be honest I had my mind set on the lap band until I went to an informational seminar held by a local bariatric surgeon.
  5. Congrats curvy! So pretty too! Keep up the good work! These types of update motivate more than you know!
  6. Hee-larious! Im just moving to "soft" foods post op and feel just the same!
  7. This has been one of my concerns also. I've been dry brushing my skin before i shower and I follow up with lotion and bio oil. I'm only 9 days post op so I can't say if it works or not. Been thinking about stri-victin or maderma if that doesn't help.
  8. I didn't realize that! Best of luck to you! Be sure to keep us posted.
  9. Best of Luck to you and your fellow 8/26 sleevers!
  10. What was the WLS Exclusion for Bcbs of TN? I was just sleeved on 8/19.
  11. FinAlly feeling well enough to log in. Still struggling to get fluids and Protein in. Otherwise I've felt mostly "discomfort", but no real pain. Was surprised to see that the incisions weren't as scary as some I've seen on here
  12. Well gang we are "on the other side". I thought this day would never arrive and now it's DONE! Hope all are well and on the road to recovery! I'm finally feeling well enough to log in!

  14. I'm 4 days post op and ice chips were the worst!! I didnt think i would get any liquids in fooling with the ice chips. Small sips of room temp water helped immensely. Best of luck to ya!
  15. I got gas-x thin strips. They "melt" on your tongue sort of like those listerine breath strips.
  16. If You do a search for August 19th, you will find two threads. I know there are some 20th people on one or both. Best of luck to you!
  17. Thank you for this thread because my surgery is MONDAY!! I found this site about three weeks ago and I have felt like I've been cramming for an exam with all this information. But this issue has been at the forefront of my mind. OP you must be psychic! I know you can't shower while in the hospital, but will it be ok to bring wipes of some sort (baby wipes, feminine wipes, or Kleenex wipes) to freshen up?
  18. Tomorrow Im supposed to have only Clear liquids for the entire day. So I'm am going to savor today's Quest bar and salad like they are culinary masterpieces. On a good note, I've lost nearly 15 pounds while on the pre op diet--which negated all the weight I gained from all of my many "food funerals". Now off to the store to buy those gas x strips because gas pain doesn't sound like fun.
  19. So 19th and 20th gang are we nearly ready? Working at a frenzied pace to have stuff done before I take the next 3 weeks off-- so tired. I think I've adjusted to this pre-op pittance of a diet, don't know what I will do when it's time to go to all Clear liquids on Sunday. Probably whine to you guys :-) on some thread SOMEWHERE! Praying for safe travels to those going far away for your procedures as well.
