11 Weeks Post-Op & 60lbs Down!

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody! I'm so happy to share with you all that I am officially 11weeks post-op today, and at today's weekly weigh in, I weighed 188!!! That's 60 lbs down from my highest weight!!!! My height is 5' 6.5"; I started this process at 248, lost 20 pre-op, and 40 post-op. Thus far I have had no problems with any type of food. I eat healthy 95% of the time; I stay away from my trigger foods because I WILL eat them if they are near and accessible; I stay away from bad carbs except on my cheat days (Sunday's), and when I say cheat it is very minimal and only at 1 meal--not every meal. I also exercise with a minimum of 4 days of cardio (1/2 hour to an hour depending on my schedule), 2 days weights.

Whoop! Whoop! Loving my sleeve!

Wow Curvy you look great! I loved reading your upbeat message. I am trying to glean every bit of information from here that I can. It is pretty exciting to think that in three months or so I will be where you are! You've given me a goal o strive for!

LOL! That's my brother-in-law...I'd pass on the compliment, but he has a big head already, so I'll just keep it here :D

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
