Surgery August 20!

Looking for a surgery Buddy that is having surgery the same day to offer each other encouragement and check in periodically. Please message if interested.

If You do a search for August 19th, you will find two threads. I know there are some 20th people on one or both. Best of luck to you!

I got gas-x thin strips. They "melt" on your tongue sort of like those listerine breath strips.

Do you know what time your surgery is? I think mine is at 9:30. I'll send you a message as soon as I can after. We are both going to do great! Don't forget to take gas-x with you. I hear it really helps!

Mine is at 7:30 so I have to be at the hospital at 6 am. I will definitely have to get some gas X. Will we be able to take it because my doc said that we should only be taking chewable or can you get it in chewable for?

My doctor has it on the list of stuff to prepare with. He's been doing bariatric surgery for 30 years and the first doctor in my state to do laparoscopic surgery. The kind I got were tiny capsules, I guess you could chew it if it were needed. I actually posted about this in another post asking if it helps. Hopefully I will get some replies and I'll let you know :)

Thanks that's awesome! I'll have to get some of those!

I'm August 20th as well. Getting nervous!

Well gang we are "on the other side". I thought this day would never arrive and now it's DONE! Hope all are well and on the road to recovery!

How are you feeling?

FinAlly feeling well enough to log in. Still struggling to get fluids and Protein in. Otherwise I've felt mostly "discomfort", but no real pain. Was surprised to see that the incisions weren't as scary as some I've seen on here
