  2. Pretty much the exact same for me. Was sleeved on the 20th and have lost 12 lbs and am not in any pain except for the occasional pain in my left upper chest when I am eating or drinking. Definitely a little disappointed at this point in time.
  3. Congrats jules! I also got my sleeve yesterday and I am feeling great. No real complaints and very minimal pain. Hopefully I'll get sent home tomorrow.
  4. I'm having mine done tomorrow too. Freakin out a little.
  5. Congrats! I'm super excited to. Can't wait til a year from now!
  6. It's going pretty well. Hungry but who isn't. lol.
  7. If it's sugar free I don't see why not. I have been.
  8. Thanks that's awesome! I'll have to get some of those!
  9. Mine is at 7:30 so I have to be at the hospital at 6 am. I will definitely have to get some gas X. Will we be able to take it because my doc said that we should only be taking chewable or can you get it in chewable for?
  10. Wow. I'm sorry to hear that. I admire your strength through all of this.
  11. I'm in the exact same boat as you. I'm super excited but terrified at the same time. I've never been in the hospital before besides my pre admission testing and a surgery of any kind is brand new. I am also a self pay as my insurance didn't cover surgery.
  12. That's awesome! Are you excited and ready for it on Tuesday?
  13. I haven't had mine yet. Mine is this coming Tuesday on the 20th.
  14. I'm so scared to be honest. I know I just need to relax because worrying isn't going to help anything but I can't help it. I'm just ready to wake up from surgery and for them to tell me everything went okay.
  15. Don't get discouraged. You're scale my not be weighing the same as at the docs. Any weight loss will be a good thing and you will lose once you get your sleeve so don't worry about that. I'm just worried about not wakin up. Lol.
  16. The pre op diet is not too bad. Two protein shakes for breakfast and lunch and then a lean low fat dinner. The first few days were pretty bad. Battling hunger and headaches but it's gotten better. How is it going for you?
  17. The pre op diet is not a lot of fun. The first 3 days or so we're the worst. I was so hungry which I could deal with but I had a constant headache. But after the first 3 days or so my body got kinda used to it so it has definitely gotten better. You can do it. Just stick to the plan your surgeon has laid out for you and just think in two weeks you shouldn't even have the whole hunger thing bothering you. Feel free to hit me up anytime with questions. I'd be glad to answer if I can. Good luck! Ashley
  18. I am new to this site so this is my first post. I am scheduled to have my sleeve done on August 20th and I am getting so nervous! I am a worrier anyway so you can only imagine. I've been fortunate to have never had a surgery or been in the hospital before so this is a very new and scary thing for me. I am also very excited but I just want the surgery part to be done and over with so I can get on with it. I'm looking for buddies that are gonna be or are going through this around this time to talk and share experiences with. Can't wait to hear from you all!
