  1. I thought I typed a reply to you, but I don't see It anywhere. To post pics from your phone, I go to the site and make sure You click the FULL VERSION (at the very bottom of the page). If you are posting pictures in reply to a topic, there should be a button that says attach/upload files- that would be where you upload the picture you want to post. If you still don't see it, you may have to chose full editor for it to come up. Hope that helped.
  2. Thanks for the encouragement guys!!!! Sometimes it's hard to "see" our progress, but the airplane was irrefutable proof that its working. This was my first flight without my ex-boyfriend, who was average sized. He would always get the seat next to me and raise the armrest so I wouldn't be embarrassed or encroach upon my neighbor. I've heard stories of people being asked to buy a second seat and I've been petrified that it would one day happen to me. I had tears in my eyes when i realized I could sit down comfortably :-)
  3. My word, is that YOU?? You look great!
  4. If you are on your phone, i have to go to the site on my phone (not the app) and chose to view the page in the full version (an option at the very bottom of the page). Once you do that, you should be able to attach pictures. Hope this helps
  5. I'm seven weeks post op and I have a looong way to go, but your pictures are an inspiration to me. i took some pictures this weekend and compared them to what I looked like only few weeks before my surgery (8/19/13). Can't believe the difference already and can't wait to see what I look like by new year's. Also flew this weekend and it was the first time in YEARS that I fit in the seat without making the armrest pop up or having to practically jam myself against the window side so that I wouldn't "ooze" over to the adjoining seat! Flying has been a huge source of anxiety for me-so grateful for my sleeve!
  6. OH MY GAWWWWWD! You are the very first person that I know of that is on VST and a subscriber to my channel. Sometimes i wonder if the stuff i talk about is of use to those who watch! Your comment truly brightened my day!
  7. Some of you are already my pals, but I've neglected to list my email addy. It's jslindzy@hotmail.com
  8. Orange is the new black and breaking bad. You can thank me later.
  9. I second quest bars as well. The texture takes some getting used to but it's the least nasty bar I've found this far. I also buy the isopure zero carb ready-to- drink beverages. Like quest bars, they are sort of acquired taste but have 160 calories and 40 grams of protein for the entire bottle. Very helpful for when you can't get a protein shake in
  10. Nope. Only members of the group can see your likes or whether other sleeve members liked something you posted
  11. I was sleeved on 8/19 and my post op loss has been slower than yours. I too felt like I couldn't "see" the loss (since my clothes aren't falling off me thanks to my stubborn hips and thighs). That is until the past few days when I decided to take pictures and compare them to my pre op pictures. There is a definite difference. Not as drastic as I would like, but I'm sure my stubborn areas will get with the program at some point. I think the same goes for you and your trouble spots
  12. Im sure you will be like a kid on christmas eve tonight! Hope all goes well!
  13. Wow! You look like a totally different and younger person!
  14. I'm nearly six weeks post op and am finally starting to see a difference. The first picture in each of these were taken one month before my surgery. The other pictures are from last night and last week at work (sad that the best full length mirror in my life is in the ladies room at work)
  15. Can you just say you have to miss because you have an appointment with your physician and if she requires a note, you will provide her with one upon your return. I havent toldl my coworkers and during the pre-op phase I kept the explainations as simple as possible. Luckily (depending on your view) I was in a car accident a few months earlier so I think they automatically assumed my appointments were related to that
  16. I dry brush and moisturize like crazy. Got a trainer and am working on strength training as well. I'm still in the early stages of my weight loss journey but I hope it works
  17. Sent invited to everyone on here lol. I had only one friend and its obvious she's some sort of shut in or wears her fitbit every blue moon.
  18. I don't understand how to add friends. It only goes through my contacts. Do I need to make new "contacts" for you guys and add you that way?
  19. I remember that feeling well! It seemed like I was cramming for a test or pop quiz trying to learn all I could about the sleeve, what to expect, ect. I know you will be fine because you came to the right place to learn (well here and youtube rather). Your day will be here before you know it! Best of luck to you!
  20. Oh why didn't I know about this??? It is a brilliant suggestion.
  21. The first three days of that liquid diet were HARD, but didn't seem as bad after that. You got this and will be on the losers bench in no time!
  22. I'm BCBS basic and while I've not had the revision, my total hospital bill for the sleeve and 2 nights in the hospital was $300. Just make sure your hospital, surgeon, anesthesiologist (I.e. EVERBODY) is in the network. Best of luck to you! I think basic is the way to go with respect to these types of procedures.
  23. You are going to be fine blueshea and you came to the right place to find out more!! Doing as much research as possible is the key. Youtube is also a good resource as well. Not to self promote, but Im 5 weeks out and have been chronicling my journey on youtube as well. Posted a video last week on what I wish I had known before surgery- check it out. I'm under 1gorgeousgodzilla. Best of luck to you!
