I've been having a hard time with people saying to me, "Now that you are skinny, you don't want to talk to us any more." What? Are they serious? The only thing that has changed about me is my body. I'm still the same kind hearted person that I have always been. It amazes me that everyone is making a big deal about this.

I actually purchased the DVD's too, and I'm loving them. I've been doing the dvd's 4-5 times a week for at least 40 minutes (there's a few dvd's that are around 20 minutes long, I"ll do 2 back to back), and I've already lost 7lbs and 3 inches off my waist. I never took any other measurements, but my hips, thighs, arms, and back are all much more toned and slimmer looking. I really do look forward to doing them, I don't have to drive to get to a gym, just go back to my spare room and shake my booty!

Have them check your gallbladder. I was 7 months out. Started having similar symptoms. Things went south fast! Ended up with having emergency surgery to have my gallbladder removed.

Thank you for the advice. I think getting out the house and exercising would be helpful. I would be so upset if all of this hard work was wasted. I definitely need to find something positive to refocus my energy (or lack thereof) on.

I suffer from depression too. My advice would be to get some exercise if you're not already. That alone will make you feel some better. Are you on medications? If so; be sure to take them like you're supposed to. You may want to contact your doctor to get your meds adjusted. Get out of the house some. It helps. If you don't have one already; find someone that you can lean on. Sometimes we just need to feel loved. Speak positively. Say "I feel great" over and over again. Soon your brain will start to believe it. And finally, FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT! Do not let it get the best of you. Give it all you've got. You haven't come this far to give up now. Hang in there. You've got this!

. Thank you for this advice. I've fallen off the wagon and I need to get back on track. I think having a heavy protein diet might be just what I need.

Even without shaving calories down you might see results just by shifting your diet back to basics. That's assuming you're kinda doing whatever you want right now.
It's easier than sort of "dieting" your way back onto track. So for a week, shift to a Protein heavy diet and resume shakes if you can. Push your Protein counts up high and don't worry about calories for this week. Fruits and veggies only after you've had protein, but try to get a few servings in a day.
I did this recently to reset and feel incredibly full and like I eat all day long. It nipped the carb monster and nighttime cravings in the bud.
From there transition back into lower calories, cutting slowly until you're at a place where you're losing pretty consistently. At that point up your carbs back up for energy and Fiber.
And without too much trouble, within a week or two you should be back at an easily maintainable diet that's well rounded and will keep you losing so you can finally reach your goal.
    Good luck!

Ok brush it off! No use beating up on yourself now. You still have the sleeve.
This is going to be hard trust me. But cut out all the crap cold turkey. Don't starve yourself but fill up on lean Protein and veg only. It's going to take awhile to get over those cravings but once you do. It will be easier to to stick to a clean diet and start losing again.

costco makes a great Protein Shake called Premier Protein! It's fabulous! You may want to try it. It has 30 g of protein in each serving. They come pre-packaged and all you have to do is refrigerate them.

I had my surgery on 7/16. I'm hungry! I just want a little treat. It's a little hard watching my family eat all the foods I love. I've got to find a way to keep my mind off eating.

Everyone please remember that this is a life changing proceedure for all of us. Some family members are going to accept your decision some may not. Regardless of your family dynamic you got sleeved and you can't go back. Think about the reason why you did this in the first place, think about the fact that food was what got you here in the first place. Accept that you will never be able to eat like you did again and accept that other members of your family can. Include yourself in your families doings and eat what you can even if you have to take a Protein Shake. Enjoy the fact that you are with your love ones and move on with your life. They will get used to it and you won't feel hurt after they realize what you life decision is. Good luck, enjoy your Protein. I do.
