  1. Oh, here's a pic of us... and of course I am hiding behind him. I'm sure yall know how it is.
  2. Well it's not really a "situation" but we're making it an interesting competition. See, I weigh 355 at 6'2 and he's about 315 at 6'3. So theres a good 40 pounds difference. The goal is for me not to pass him in weight. I am getting sleeved in 19 days so Saturday is the official start date. Even though I do not have to go on a pre-op diet I am because I want to be in optimal health for the surgery and recovery. (ssshhhhh, I probably WILL pass him because I'm getting surgically altered but I wanted something to help keep him motivated and interested in doing this journey with me and thankfully he is totally on board.) This is not only my journey but his as well because we both have some nutritional changes we need to make and now, thankfully my ability to binge and throw not only me but him off course will be altered). We've been together for 4 years so far but I really want another 50 at least so we need to get right on this, the sooner the better. Anyone else have partners who have been on this journey with you? Alan
  3. Awesome progress man. You and I have pretty much the same goals. I'm 355 and want to get down to 225.
  4. I'm not posting my pic next! LMAO Not after that hottie.
  5. These meals look great however they are only being sold in select stores in Texas.
  6. Love it! Printed this out. Thank you
  7. I had a friend who has this issue and her doctor told her to eat probiotics (some yogurt) and she said it cleared up right away.
  8. It's your life. If you're not happy leave him and find a life/you/circumtance that makes you shine the brightest. It sounds as if you're already checked out. This surgery will change you completely. Either he shape up or ship out.
  9. Thanks guys... it's been a pretty interesting journey so far. I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I havent been sleeved yet but I have been approved and my surgery date is on Sept 10th. Im pretty excited and nervous all at the same time. I am stoked to find a LGBT section to spend some time in. I've been in the mens forum and all they ever want to talk about is their weiners, which dont get me wrong I am okay with but honestly I think those guys are just baiting the horny women that lurk in the mens section (which I find a little passive agreesive/creepy) but to each their own. lol
  10. Hey everyone, I am in Atlanta as well. Well, Sandy Springs. My surgeon is Scott Steinberg with Decalb Medical. Is anyone still around here?
  11. hahaha I dont get sleeved till next month, ILL TAKE IT!
  12. Oh THANK GOD I was beginning to think I was the only gay in the house! Hey guys, I'm Alan. I am getting sleeved on Sept 10th. Anyone here from Atlanta?
  13. It takes nicotine 3 days to leave the bloodstream. You'll be fine.
  14. Congrats!! Time will fly by.
  15. I am scheduled for September 10th. We're all in this together!
  16. I live in Atlanta and my surgery is 9/10.
  17. I'm white as white can be and when I have ANY cut or skin laceration it takes FOREVER to go away and I scar. Well first its red forever. I have a cut on my arm that my cat gave me and no joke it stated red for a year and left a permanent mark and it was just a surface cut. I will probably have incision marks forever honestly. I think those who healed up nice and quickly are using witchcraft or its just plain genetics. lol
  18. Plus I am pretty sure this mens forum is soley designed for men to talk about their weiners.
  19. At 33 and even at 355 pounds and not sleeved yet this happens to me Oh boy I cant wait till I DO get sleeved!
  20. When you start playing around with recipies please let us know which ones worked out best. I have my surgery on Sept 10th so you're kind of blazing the way for me. lol
  21. I read that ricotta cheese is perfectly acceptable and tastes great with some salt and pepper. Also refried beans.
  22. That is such a great idea and is really a true definition of the word 'balance'. I need some balance in my life with food. That doesnt mean I'll never go through periods of low carb or slide back into drinking liquids for a few days as needed but I'm just sick of diet after diet after diet before the sleeve. I crave balance now.
