  1. mmmm bacon. I miss bacon.
  2. Right now I am drinking a Unjury chocolate splendor protein shake with a few drops of the Cherry extract. Tastes like chocolate covered cherries.
  3. oops... *surgery related So today I am up and about and I notice a small pain under my left arm, on my chest/breast area. It hurts when I reach forward and bend over a bit. Like WHOA hurt... a sharp shooting/burning pain and if I held it in with my right hand it doesnt hurt. When I sit down, nothing ... its when I reach out with my left hand and bend over just a bit. There is nothing on the surface of the skin, it's under the skin (possibly muscular) and I am not sure if this has anything to do with my surgery. I am 11 days post op. Just just happened suddenly today. Any idea's?
  4. It took Anthem BC/BS about a week to approve me.
  5. I was sleeved Sept 10th as well. I totally understand.. at this point I am already eating lots of tomato soup and also moderate (and very chewed up amounts) of cottage cheese.
  6. I have a ninja and the cleanup is a hassle.
  7. Weird, 2 days after I posted this the pain just went away. My abdomen isnt sore anymore but it's still a little weak. I've been walking everyday and it's been getting much better.
  8. Yes they do, you must have been absent that day. I can take a skinny selfie with the best of em. lol
  9. I have Anthem BC/BS as well. But I'm in Georgia so I don't know if there's a difference. They approved me no problem or questions asked as long as I did everything they required.
  10. That dimple on me is a huge indenture. When I sleep on my side its uncomfortable because it feels like a weight it dangling under the skin. Weird.
  11. The last 3 days have been great. The pain went away for the most part. My abdomen, albeit out of pain is still compromised a little bit and weak but I finally feel like a human again.
  12. I bought this one and it works amazingly well. I can step on it numerous times and get the same number. It was cheap and works great. http://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Precision-Digital-Bathroom-Technology/dp/B001KXZ808/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1379649252&sr=8-2&keywords=scale
  13. 9 days out my poop is all kinds of messed up and changes on a daily. But white poop? weird. lol
  14. That's what I thought, I am eating slow and chewing completely through. My stomach doesnt hurt.
  15. And you see, that's the weird thing. Every doctors office has their own special "rules" and regulations. I have talked to pleanty of people who started eating cottage cheese on the 7th day. Technically I can eat this in a few days, I'm just speeding it up a little bit. Thank you for your input.
  16. Okay so I am 9 days out from surgery and I've gone from Clear liquids a couple of days ago to full liquids last Tuesday and today I decided to try some fat free cottage cheese. It's delicious and just what I needed mentally and I chewed it up to a very liquid consistancy and it went down just fine and it's hanging out in there just fine. Should I stop? Do I need to do some pennants to the weight loss surgery Gods? Is 9 days too early for cottage cheese?
  17. Stay clear of Bariatric Choice Berry flavored. They are disgusting.
  18. About $1600 so far out of pocket. I know I will have the hospitals 20% appearing any time now. My deductible was $1100 and I had to pay 20% to my surgeon before the surgery. Plus all of the copays and stuff... so right now, sitting at about $1600. But for a $20,000 surgery, not too shabby I must say.
  19. I think for me the judgement I feel for the most part is internal. Also, I won't wolerate anyone degrading my progress by attributing any successes I have soley to the sleeve. As if I sat around passively waiting to lose weight rather than playing an active roll, along with my sleeve, to weight loss and better health. This is an act of sabbatoge and the second I see it I nip it in the bud.
  20. I would have found a new bariatric center.
  21. It could, I'm 8 days post op and for a minute I really regretted it. Just think carefully about this. There is no turning back.
  22. Clear liquids: Water, sf Jello, Protein mixes with almond milk or soy, diluted apple juice, sf Popsicles, broth. Full liquids: all above, tomato soup, strained soup... I tried to eat liquified (in my ninja) chilli tonight but my stomach didn't like because too spicy, yogurts, sf pudding thinned out etc
  23. Yes, perfectly normal. Same thing happened to me to the letter.
  24. I told my surgeon I smoked and he said don't smoke 2 weeks before or after. That's all. They don't care.
  25. The first time it was chicken broth, the smell repulsed me. I had to dump it because I knew I would vomit. The next broth I tried was the French Onion broth with all of the onions strained. I got two sips down and my stomach just turned. But to heck with broth... I'm on full liquids now and had the most wonderful tomato Soup ever.
