  2. Jessileigh, you are so right, losing it is what matters. Getting healthy matters. Comparing our weight loss is a recipe for heartbreak.

  4. Hi there! Which doctor in Bham? I had my surgery on 3/5 and Dr. Miles is my surgeon. Love him! Loving my sleeve!!!

  6. I'm still here!! 11 days out. 22 lbs down. Sipping water and protein shakes.
  7. I love all the sleeve cruisers!! Hubs and I are going to Alaska! I cruise about 6 to 8 times a year. It's my job! Yes, I know I have a great job!! I think this is cruise 29... But I'm never sure. Thanks for all the great info.
  8. Have fun in St Lucia -- I have it on my list of "must visits."
  9. Great advice. I have three business trips starting at the 8 week mark. I'll remember the noro virus info. That is NOT something I want to deal with. Oh my!
  10. Sounds great!! Keep us posted on your trip.
  11. Dear Pegs, I was sleeved on 3/5 so I'm right there with you. Don't push yourself, everyone heals differently, but follow Lombardos ( I think I got close to her name) advice-- call the doc if you run a fever. I'm 50, so let's stick together and not measure our success on others. This is a journey and we are just getting started. Hope you are better tomorrow. Take care of you.
  12. Had surgery on 3/5/14...just a few days out, but hubby and I have a cruise planned for June 3rd. I'm excited about the trip and I work for a charter cruise company so I'm very comfortable with cruising. Anyone else take a big trip like thus 3 months out? Any words of advice??
  13. Had my surgery on 3/5 ...no pain, little nausea. Just tired and learning to sip, sip, sip. Good luck to all

  16. I'm scheduled for March 5th. Start my liquid diet this Tuesday! I'm using Matrix vanilla protein shakes. I'm blessed to have a doctor who hosts an incredible support group monthly. We get to try all manner of protein shakes, etc.
  17. I've used Gwynnie bee for over a year! I love it. They send your picks and if you try it and don't like it, just send it back (in envelope provided) and they will send the next item. Great way to try trendy items!!
  18. The support group is wonderful, but Itravel so much..and Dr miles is amazing!!!

  21. Mitz, Thanks for all the wisdom. I'm happy I gave up carbonated beverages a while back, and glad I can keep my coffee. I will remember your hit stove stories And hopefully wont have too many of my own. PS I love my ipad, but hate typing on it. Makes me seem worse grammar and spelling than I already have.
