Confused and disappointed
I agree with the above statements stay focus with your Protein, drinking Water, as well as exercise, your body has just gone through a major transformation, and your body was pump up with gas , continue to walk and just weigh yourself maybe once a week not every day. Take one day at a time and focus on making good choices , congrats to you all and welcome to the losers bench.

12 days out and I don't know what "full" feels like?
I agree with the above statements focus on your protein because it will keep you feeling full, as far as hungry it sounds lie head hunger, are any of you eating every three hours? You should be having small meals also this will prevent your body thinking it needs to hold onto everything. Focus on your protein , water and follow your doctors advice good luck.

Stalls are normal as long as your eating right and getting in your Protein and Water and exercising the weight will come off, remember you did not gain weight over night and it will not disappear overnight, focus on one day at a time and eating healthy, although it may not seem like you are losing weight you are loosing inches which are important. Congrats on your weight lost and your choice to be healthy, put the scale away and only weight in once a week, you will have stalls throughout this process it is normal I am almost 6 month post opt and feeling great, remember also how much energy you have . Changes to Taste, Food Preferences
Hi first congrats on your choice to being healthy , I use to love sweets as well you will learn that your taste buds changes after surgery, I use to be able to eat cheese eggs and I love chocolate can't tolerate neither now and that's good because it's just empty calories anyway, my fixation is the gym now I go 5 days per week and it helps reduce stress. Once you see the new you trust me you will love the results, I am almost 6 months out and loving the new me everyone calls me ms skinny . Get ready to have energy like you never had before its so nice and not to mentioned the extra attention and buying clothes that you look good in. Be prepared for the haters as well because some people can't handel the new you but remember that's their issue and insecure not yours. Good luck .

thinking about gastric bypass surgery
Hi Lisa first I would like to say congrats on your choice to be healthy in regards to your questions it depends on your insurance requirements that will determine first of you are approved as well as the requirements that you will have to go through to see your requirements some insurance like mine required a 6 month process in which your weight had to be managed by your doctor and various test before I was approved my entire process took 10 months. Once you go to your first seminar this will discuss all types of surgery that is out there for you. Good luck with your choice.

Why gastric bypass
I agree with the above choices that you have to do what is best for you, I could have chose both but due to the fact that I already had acid reflex I chose the RNY I am so glad that I did and y only regret is that I did not do it sooner, I am happy and feeling great if anyone had told me that I would love to exercise and become a gym bum I would said they were a liar but its true you feel so good and to see your body change right before your eyes and to be able to do things that you could not is all worth it. I have had no complications and I could have went back to work 1 week after surgery. I also like the fact that RNY their are more history regarding this surgery and it is considered the goal standard I did not want to have multiple surgery and this has been the only major surgery that have ever had, not to mention that with this surgery I stop taking all diabetic medications after the third day of surgery. Good luck you have to do what is best for you and congrats on your choice in being healthy.
