I started researching 4 years ago. I kept telling myself  you will never be able to do this. If you can't stop and change things now how will you after surgery. I was worried about my system not being able to handle the surgery. I finally said I had to start the process or I would die before my time. I was so sick. I didn't think I could exercise. I thought I had done enough damage to my body that it wouldn't be reversible. Well once I made the choice with a lot of prayer.I was 359 at the time,  I feel God opened the door very quickly. I got serious in April and my surgery date was August 27th. I believe it has been the best thing to happen to me other than my marriage and my daughter. I have lost 99 lbs since a year ago.  I do struggle with getting my protein in. I just don't feel like eating and I am 10 weeks out. I am still working on finding the right balance. The right protein to get in easier. I have started walking, using a nustep at the Gym. I have been doing my grocery shopping without having to use a cart. I have had 4 disc's that where herniated. I am finding my self wanting to do so much then I start hurting a little. Before I couldn't stand and have a conversation with anyone without leaning on something to stop the pain.  I can't wait for the additional changes to come. Please make sure you have people to support and pray for you. I know that I wouldn't be at this point without my GOD and my friends and family prayers.....
