  1. Glad it made you all smile. I love the Veet for men reviews.. I was in tears when I read that one!
  2. If you need more of a chuckle, this is pretty good, too... Veet for Men... http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B000KKNQBK Spread the joy! Literally!
  3. Oh, this made me chuckle... Forget your protein induced constipation. Forget your tinctures, lotions, potions and tablets. Just get... Haribo Sugar Free Bears. The reviews of this product are hilarious. Best of luck! http://slightlyviral.com/beware-sugarless-gummy-bears-on-amazon-com/
  4. My ability (or lack thereof) to consume plain roasted chicken breast tells me otherwise.... Unless, of course, there's a global conspiracy to bring down the chicken market!
  5. I think this is along the same lines as when people think they have a right to touch a pregnant woman's belly... Id've snatched my wrist back pronto....
  6. Are you taking it in the morning? If so, what time does the lump sensation come on?
  7. Sometimes certain PPI will work for one person and won't for the next. Which one did they give you and what size is it? I suffer from GERD if I don't take mine - and I had the constant lump sensation. I'm on 20mg twice a day of Omeprazole. I've also cut out a load of things that aggravate it - citrus, etc.
  8. I have the lump feeling and food does not sound good. I'm never nauseous but I have had the feeling that I may gag if I yet to eat. I wondered about the lump feeling. It's not a feeling of something stuck in my throat but like sitting down my esophagus The lump sensation is an indicator of excess acid.. have you been given a PPI to take?
  9. Cracking job! You look amazing, well done
  10. Oh, honey... I hear ya. I hear it and feel it all. Although those photos are tinged with sadness - they're all part of the ride. Lets get our cameras out and make some new, genuinely happy memories. Loves ya xxx
  11. Aww, many many congratulations. Hope you heal quickly. Welcome to the losers club
  12. I'm the queen of paranoia these days. My mind hasn't caught up with my body, so when people look, I instantly think 'oh lord, have I got lipstick all over my teeth?' 'Have I spilt tea down my font?' More often than not and now men glance, my internal dialogue says 'WHAT are you looking AT?!'... This might be accompanied by a defensive 'stare down' moment. I don't like it. Being invisible worked for me. I feel like my privacy has been invaded
  13. In answer: 1) Yes, abso-bleedin'-lutely. I had such a wobble, I postponed my surgery and ran away on holiday for a week to 'think' about it.... I wrote down the pros and the cons. The pros won and I got sleeved on the 19th September. 2) As above. I got very nervous, 20 minutes before I walked into theatre. I reminded myself of the pros and cons as above, strode in, head held high and knew I was doing the right thing. You have to be sure of your pros and cons. If you do yourself a list, you'll be seeing everything in black and white. My cons were largely focussed on 'what if I didn't have this surgery?'. The results were shocking.. and voluminous in comparison. The cons were VERY sobering... As for the soft foods? Out and about in restaurants? Soft veggies, roast meats, gravy, prawns in sauce.. Chew really well and you'll be totally fine. Best of luck with your list
  14. I don't know whether you would be able access this - as it is on a British website - but this is the channel over here that is showing the series 'Fat Surgeons'. This is the link to both series and all the episodes. Hopefully it'll work for you all. You may have to register to access. Fingers crossed! http://really.uktv.co.uk/shows/fat-surgeons/watch-online/#2094920414001
  15. That;s awesome! Many many congratulations
  16. She is a friends friend and I had never even met her before, I was discussing it with my friend when she chimed in. Woah! I'dve replied 'Excuse me?!! And you are?!!' Oof... I wouldn't have taken that lightly.. I'm sorry you had that. Lets hope your real friend turned to this woman afterwards and said 'Yo, dude, you were bang out of order there...'
  17. Aww, you look lovely together. My man likes chunkier monkeys. But then, he fell in love with me - for me. I have often asked him about how he feels about my losing weight. He has often replied 'look at the smile on your face, that's all I care about'. Accompany this with his infatuation with patting my bottom.... I can only assume he's still happy! If you're worried, talk to your man honestly and openly. I wish you the best of luck x
  18. Who was the 'woman' who said that to you? <feeling angry on your behalf>
  19. Aww, you look gorgeous. Congratulations on your success and most importantly, your wedding. May you have many many happy years together
  20. Yeah! Lets get angry at 'the system'. I love getting angry at the system, me
  21. Head down, grit your teeth and take this monster on! Enjoy the meds, walk a lot, sip Water a lot, take a lip-balm, take comfortable PJ's with you, slippers, deodorant/perfume (that made me feel like a human being) breathe and relax. You got this, Sista See you on the losers bench! x
  22. Is it fizzy? Might make your stomach a bit gurgly, but if you take a PPI before it, it might provide a bit of a barrier. Failing that, a bit of gaviscon liquid should do the trick before consumption. On first response, if it is fizzy, I would drown it in Water and make it 'flat'. If you're worried, maybe an alternative could be some tylenol / cough syrup and something mentholated like peppermint tea to give you some vapours? Limit the sugar content as this can make your cough worse. I'm sure for one night it won't be the end of the world, as long as your stomach is okay and your symptoms are temporarily soothed. If the doctor is genuinely concerned and thinks you have a full infection, he'll be throwing steroids, an inhaler, antibiotics and all sorts at you to move the cough on and quickly. Sorry you feel miserably unwell. Hope you feel better soon
  23. Same here.. gut wrenching badness...
