Take THAT! Christmas!
and a good looking sexy overweight you are! Love ur hair. Thanks, honey. I scraped it up with far too much mousse. It was like a rock of lego-hair, glued to my head! My man seemed to appreciate the finished ensemble, so I didn't have much to complain about.. Other than the black and blue ankle at the end of the evening!

Oh GREAT!
Gerrard Butler.. He'dve got it when he starred in 300 and his accent was properly Scottish. Scottish men.. Mmmmmm Now he's sounding awful with attempting the phony American thing? No good. No good at all. He's also looking a bit hamster-ish with those cheeks.... Looks like he's got a load of sunflower seeds stored in there. Now, Ryan Gosling in The Notebook? Oh lordy, he'd get it. Must have a thing for men with Southern accents and bucket loads of charm... <swoon>

I would simply reply with this... 'If i want to stop losing weight, it will be easy. I will start eating crisco out of the fridge. I shall flavour it up with some chocolate, crispy bacon, maple syrup, use a drum stick of fried chicken as a spoon and start washing it down with some melted ice cream. THAT, is how I will stop the weight loss <internal thought 'you stupid idiot'>'

Fried food
Yeah... Fried food.. For me? My old head thinks I want it.. My stomach lurches on entry... I have one-two fries and I'm done. A bite or two of a burger - done. Forget anything else that's fried - particularly chicken/fish. Makes me feel thoroughly dirty inside and that feeling lasts, too. Don't much crave chips either. Doritos are the food of the devil <gag> I'm with RJ about eating realistically. I guess I'm fortunate that I've tried those things and they just don't fit any more. I am very grateful for that. Bring on my grilled goats cheese salad with parma ham and balsamic dressing

Oh, I would go for a big fat dose of sarcastic 'lol you lot really don't have a lot going on in your lives, do you? If you have this much time to talk about my ever-decreasing backside!... Would you care for a closer look?!'

Dehydration
Keep a bottle of Water with you at all times. Duck-tape it to your hands, if you have to... The more 'visual' reminders you get, the more likely you are not to 'forget' to drink...

Hit my goal... feeling slightly underwhelmed ...
Ab-so-bloody-lute-ly. In the irrepressible and immortal words of Malcolm Tucker which seem entirely appropriate for this very special occasion: "You're looking at Lazarus, sweetheart. And not just Lazarus; I'm Self-Raising f*cking Lazarus". Many many congratulations, honey. A job very well done xxxx

Just feeling awful & miserable! Almost 1 month post-op
You're very welcome. in truth, citrus won't likely be your friend for quite a while.. It takes time, trial and error to see when things start 'working' for you again and when they don't. I'm 15 weeks out and I wouldn't risk that level of citrus still.. Can't be doing with the rampant indigestion. Same with hot spices. Promise you though - get some real, home-down, healthy food in you - keep it simple - eat it regularly and you will feel much better.

'Scuse my ignorance, but what is 'Mono'? Horrible that you had to go through this over Christmas. As RJ stated - keep pushing until they get you sorted. Wishing you the best of luck x

Just feeling awful & miserable! Almost 1 month post-op
Up your Water. Up your Protein. Get more calories in for the short while. I felt crappy at 4 week.. But by weeks 6, 7, 8 and got on real food? I was flying. Try roasted meats in gravy with mashed vegetables. It'll make you feel like a human and one pot of it will last you, like, forever whilst at work! Stay away from citrus, sugar, fats and high-spice. It won't sit well. Keep it bland and get the food in. Promise, it'll make the biggest change to your mental state.

Bubbles
I drank champagne on Christmas day. I had it with orange juice to 'soften' it a bit. Went down fine - but without a PPI on board, I wouldnt recommend anything over 3 glasses. Quite acidic.
