  1. Many thanks for the continued encouragement! Things are getting easier in some ways, and harder in others. I am working to maintain my momentum. Good luck to everyone!
  2. You feel like a new woman? You look like a new woman!. Fab and fit!
  3. That's disappointing news. I hope you are on the road to recovery now. Take good care of yourself! Sounds like a very supportive husband, btw.
  4. 3 months and quite a transformation already. Beautiful, Great job!
  5. Here's a few pics of my sleeve journey so far. The first collage is pre-op and 1 month post-op. The next is months 5-6-7. To date, I've lost 73 lbs, dropped from size 20-22 down to an easy size 10 . The weight loss has slowed down to about 1 lb a week, and I really need to get exercising more regularly to tone and tighten what I can. After 7 months I find that I need to keep diligent about my eating habits ; my sleeve feels good restriction but the brain wants "more". Got to work on that!
  6. When you lay in bed and see nothing but your 'perky' ribs. (Where did those tatas go? )
  7. Great job , time to go shopping again!
  8. Wow!!! Pics? What an amazing change in 4 months .
  9. My experience is exactly the same, right down to the drippy nose. Truly full is quite uncomfortable, and something I try to avoid at all costs.
  10. Much much better. I have very rare flare ups these days. I used to be symptomatic every single day. After 7+ months , I have only had about 4 short bouts .
  11. "I think it's hard to hear compliments sometimes because they can almost feel like an insult to our former selves. They say "Oh you look so good, your face is so much thinner" and you hear "you looked horrible before and had a fat face." Just remember 90% of the time that's not what people are saying." I seriously struggle with this on a daily basis. My ears hear a compliment but my crazy brain hears a slam about my former physique, regardless of the intention. I am fairly close to my goal, and I cringe any time someone asks how weight I have lost. Don't get me wrong , I am thrilled with my sleeve. My weight was always a private topic and I'm not sure I will ever get used to people discussing it with me. I tried to explain this to my husband, but he doesn't get it. I am glad others on this forum understand.
  12. Holy smokes! You could have built yourself a twin sister with all your lost weight! You look stunning.
  13. Even after all you've endured, you still inspire and encourage the rest of us! You are amazing! Congrats
  14. It's called a Veggitti. I am intrigued also. Be careful though, the Veggitti plus the *free* mincer came to $32 with shipping and handling, that's crazy for a tool listed as costing $14.99! I also found it on Amazon with free shipping for $14.92. Big difference . Has anyone used this thingy?
  15. Today's weight is 162. Slowly inching down .
  16. It shouldn't affect your surgery. You will probably be put on a PPI ( stomach acid medicine) before and definitely after surgery
  17. Hubba Hubba! What a transformation in 7 months!
  18. Starting weight 164 Today= 163
  19. I hope each day gets better for you, Heaven knows you deserve it! Feel well!
  20. Thanks for your kind words. Don't get me wrong; I am thrilled with the way things are going for me now but it's time for me to reconcile with the past. After so many years of blending into the background , I sometimes feel like a trespasser in a new world. Every day I make an planned effort to do something the old me wouldn't have done; some days it's taking a "selfie" , shopping for dresses, wearing a leather jacket or signing up for a 5k. I have work to do to forgive the past in order to fully embrace the future.
  21. I totally agree with all of the above. When I get a compliment, "You look great" my brain hears ..." last year you looked liked poo-poo!"
