  1. Everyone loses at a different rate so it is hard to compare numbers of other people to yourself. At 3 months I had lost 104. I started at 362 at surgery. I am now 10 months out and have lost 144 since surgery. I lost the majority of my weight in the first 3 months.
  2. You look great! Congrats! Keep up the hard work.
  3. I had my first drink at about 8 weeks out and that was wine. I was pretty damn drunk just off of one glass. Before surgery I considered myself to be a professional drinking and could put some drinks down. Now If I do 2 drinks I am pretty well drunk. If I try to go past 2 drinks I will be passed out rather quickly so I avoid going more than 2. I have regularly had wine or liquor a couple times a week through my journey so far and I believe I have done a decent job with my weight lost despite having some empty calories in my diet.....
  4. We have the same starting weight! I was 362 on April 3 2013 day of surgery. Today I am 218 so 144 down. My highest ever was 418 though and that puts me at 200 down from that as of today!!!
  5. Clearly my weight loss has slowed down but I hit 218 this morning so that is officially 200 pounds gone since my highest weight. 200 freaking pounds people!!! Craziness!
  6. I feel 20 years younger! Its amazing what the weight we carried does to us.
  7. Mine knows how to "work" the system already as well and she is 3. Its crazy how quickly they pick up on how to push our buttons.
  8. Very true that fish would look even bigger! ha! It really has made me happy that she will never really know that part of me!
  9. That is awesome!!! Way to go!! You look great!
  10. Wow you have done an amazing job!! Congrats!
  11. Oh we have all sorts of things planned. Including some time a a water park!! Can not wait.
  12. At my largest which was 418 pounds 4XLT Shirts and 54 pants Today 219 Pounds Large Shirt 36 Pants but I think I may be a 34 as the 36's are slightly loose.
  13. I am an emotional eater too. For me it is the fact that I never really get hungry as well as there is only so much I can fit in my stomach. These help me stay focused on insuring I put the right things in my mouth. Can you eat around your sleeve. Absolutely you can. That being said though you have to have the mindset that you will not have such a drastic surgery and just ruin it by eating incorrectly.
  14. Thanks for all of the kind words!
  15. That will be great for you and your son and I am sure you will both cherish those moments! I have not been Bass fishing in forever. Mostly have done salt Water fishing. A few years ago I went on a guided trip for Yellow Fin and that sorta ruined me for most other fishing. It was unreal! I want to go again now that I have lost weight because I was wrecked after catching 2 of those things.
  16. Nice job! Congrats on the success!
  17. Thanks Kathy! It is amazing the journey we go on with this sleeve..
  18. I know how you feel. I have a 3 year old at 38 so getting the weight off has been huge. Good luck to you!
  19. So sorry for your loss! Stay strong!
