Good luck on getting the surgery! You can do this! I probably have not been this weight since Junior high so it is very strange to see myself at this weight. Its an entire new world!

I stepped on the scale this morning and saw that magical number that I set for myself in the beginning of this journey. My goal was to get to 230 and that is what popped up this morning. My surgery was on April 3rd of this year. At pre-op I weighed in at 362. So that is 132 pounds gone. And those pounds are gone forever! At the moment I am still contemplating what to do from here. Part of me a very small part off me wants to say ehh I am good. A larger part of me wants to now change the goal. You see years ago I was at the highest weight I ever saw on the scale which was 418, so my full weight loss total to date is 188. That being said I kinda want to see my total loss be at 200. Seems like a pretty cool number to me. I know I can get 12 more pounds off. I will be deciding over the next few days on what to do I guess. The journey itself was in no way an easy one. Sure I lost a ton of weight in a short amount of time but you HAVE to work at it. Did I sometimes eat things I shouldn't. Uh yes. But I was able to stack more good days together than bad. I have never felt better than I do today and I know that its only going to get better!

Very good point. Plus the weight really has nothing to do with it. Anyone could have plowed their girlfriends head through a wall at any weight. These things happen! LOL Where does a girl sign up? So heads banging into walls, headboards, rear windows of cars, or doors at your local department store dressing room is not normal?

First like you said stay off the scale for now.... Second your body is not used to this so it is storing what you are putting in. Once it figures out this is the new norm then it will regulate and start to shed the pounds.

Yep that is a good problem to have! I have gone from a size 56 when I was at my biggest years ago to a 36. I was in a 48 at the time of my surgery. I mean that is just crazy so I know how you feel! Congrats to you..

There are so many to choose from. I bought one over the weekend and am waiting for it to be delivered. I have tried many in the stores but got a great deal on this particular one. I'll let you know how it is so maybe you have a baseline review of at least 1 to go from.

I don't really have an answer but do have a thought. Maybe your body is saying WTF did you do to me and is storing up in case you do it again?

Suck it up buttercup...... You have done an awesome job and should be proud of that! You look awesome! And just think this is just the beginning...

I think you also have to remember that it is YOU who decides if the surgery will work or not. The surgery in and of itself will not force you to be successful. You have to put in the work to make it happen.

I'm almost 8 months in and no soda for me. Gave it up this long and see no reason to start drinking it again.

I just wish i would have known. Then I would have done it sooner. My life is so different since the sleeve and I am loving it!

I was once 418 and was 362 before surgery. I am now 236 pounds at about 7 and half months from surgery. So yes we are out here.

Yep I got it. To me it does not seem like a big deal at all. Seems we will have a much bigger community on here which I do not think is a bad thing. Yes this is a change and it to me all of us on here are embracing a change whether we have been sleeved or are waiting to be sleeved. So just embrace this change and run with it!

Ehh I say just embrace it for what it is and milk it for all its worth! Keep it as a reminder of a reason you never want to go back to that former self!
