  1. Welcome to the board! Goof luck and enjoy reading all of the good info on here!
  2. May sound strange but you may want to up your calories if you can. With you working out as much as you say you are you may not be getting enough. I would try to up to like 1200 for a few weeks and see what happens. Cant hurt right?
  3. Have you tried switching up what you are eating. That being said what are you eating. Have you spoke to your Dr. about this? I would not want to take a laxative all the time either so I understand the concern. Also what about vitamins are you taking those as well?
  4. I would say the first 4 to 5 days of the pre op is the worst. Your body and mind are revolting a bit. It does get better though!
  5. That is an awesome start if you ask me! Good job!
  6. A good thing to do is ask for a to go box when the meal is brought out. Leave only what you can eat on your plate with the rest going to the to go box. I do this so that I do not end up overeating. Now you have 2 or 3 meals left over for the next few days.
  7. I want to go zip lining! Also go to Disney World with the Kiddo and be able to ride everything with her.
  8. I totally understand! We all lead busy lives and if you can have someone to at least drop a note to for a little help its always helpful! I don't have time for the support groups either but this place has been a big help!
  9. I'm 6 months out. Not in AZ but willing to help out anytime if you have questions and such.
  10. I feel the same really I knew I was big but until I looked at some pictures compared to where I am now I guess I really just didn't know how big I was.
  11. I really am! I just can't believe sometimes I was actually that big...Man was I fat.. LOL
  12. Yep however I went to the other extreme. Now I'm cold all the time. LOL
  13. Thanks! The goal could possibly be a moving target. But 230 gets me out of obese. Plus I have no idea what I will look like at 230 hell I didn't know what 250 was going to looks like. At my heaviest ever I was at 418 so really my total loss is 168!
  14. Thanks Lorrie! I hope you are right! Just have to keep plugging along!
  15. Today is my 6th month since surgery. For those of you about to go through the surgery I can tell you the time just fly's by! It is crazy to think that in only 6 months so many things have changed. I actually weigh less now than I did in High School. I hope that the next 6 months fly by like the first and that I can say by the end of a year out that I am at goal! Starting Weight was 362 and today I weigh 250. That is 112 pounds gone. My goal is 230 so I have 20 pounds to go!
  16. I LOVE Mexican food and eat it at least once a week. For me it is one of the easier foods to make not so fat. You can use fat free Beans, low fat cheeses, corn tortillas. The possibilities are endless!
  17. Nothing wrong with having a slice of pizza once in a while. If I were to cut out EVERYTHING all the time I would probably fail. I believe that I have done pretty good at 6 months out and still having the things I enjoy every now and then. Just saying..
  18. Congrats!!! You are doing great!
