  1. I still remember the first time I did. Surgeon said take childrens' Tylenol for the pain. I was sucking it up. So I was ok I'll give it a shot. OMB I chewed his name. Then a friend, with a Bachelors degree in ART who was an ART TEACHER before being a SAHM, I tell her what happens and she said oh that's too much sugar, you shouldn't do that. {{shaking head}} That was a harbinger of things to come with the surgeon. I found out his wife was a pediatric doctor. I said no wonder his kids are alive. Ye Gods ... LOL.
  2. I think it just happens that way to some people. I had problems in the beginning but I had gastroparesis for years. It seems it has come back and fluctuates. Now with a non existent stomach, and a few other things, it never seems to work right.
  3. Ah ok. That would make some sense then. I'd have to look up to see what happened with Obesity Surgery if there is anything in there.
  4. It does apply to sleeve. If you look in the medical literature, it has been known to happen. I sure had it really bad right after surgery for months. Its not that bad now but sometimes more than a few bites and I get the nausea, shakes, etc. Its not as bad as bypass but sometimes it can be. I was pretty fussy when it first happened after the surgery because the surgeon said it wouldn't.
  5. Soy and I don't get along well. Never have before the surgery. Thanks for the Jay Robb ... I will see about that.
  6. I can only do short rides but I just got a triathlon bike. Its much easier on the legs, considering the neuropathies.
  7. Amazing, some great information and thank you for showing us what hard work can do!
  8. Just wishing the best of luck to all!
  9. Have you seriously talked with some of the runner groups or walker groups there? There are running stores that you can get fitted for shoes for your gait.
  10. Instead of being in the gym, how about being outside? Doing things outside like gardening, picking your own veggies, walking, biking?
  11. Should be but with each one being different, it could irritate the stomach more so than anything else, pressure?
  12. Maybe the issue is going from RNY to DS OR the issue is 10% more, not 10 pounds more?
  13. So great to hear that you did that - keep on telling people how much fun exercise is.
  14. Not only does running get a lot easier but now that it is summer, what about swimming? I swim year around but its also easier on the joints and you get an upper body workout also.
  15. What about taking Carbmaster milk, making it a froth like whipped topping, with the chocolate protein powder in there? Put that on some of the PB cookies.
  16. You can put a few things on top of them too. Should be great!
  17. Should, but the temp changes depending on your oven.
  18. Do you need to use something on them as I don't seem to do as well with the processed foods. What about the salt content in them? Fat?
  19. That's how everyone I know is, steam them in the nuker.
  20. Any one have a problem with the above foods? I can't take them any longer.
  21. Have you seen if Vega or Huma will? I just checked out Huma.
  22. The other is a lot of fresh veggies and fruit, now that things have started here.
  23. Since most Protein drinks are milk based, what do people do?
  24. Or just eat a tiny amount. The other is that you might have an intolerance to dairy based items. I can do an ounce to 1.5 ounces of cheese at a time, anything else, woof. Same for dairy, I was doing 0% milk and all after for my Protein stuff and wondered why I would pass out. We figured it out pretty quickly. Too much sugar, even the 0%. Sprinkle the powders on food is what I do. Vega goes great in applesauce, especially the tropical flavored one.
