    New beginning

Congrats! I can say the first 2 weeks were Hell!!! I kept saying "why did I do this?" It was a hormonal roller coaster! But it got way easier once I started eating actual food.. You will get through it and all the different things that change. I am a year out, I've lost all the weight I needed to, to be my ultimate goal weight and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Good luck!
  2. I my name is Natalie and I had the Sleeve on 6/4/13 and it has changed my life (for the better)!! When I started I was 200 lbs and currently 124-125 most days. I had HTN and Thyroid issues and sleep apnea which I no longer have any health problems. I get called "thin" which has NEVER happened before, I still go to the "big girl" section of the store not even thinking about it. I'm wearing a size Small sometimes XS, my goal was to fit in a Small scrubs and I'm in XS.. It's still mind blowing to me that my life has changed so drastically. I have been this size for about 3 months. I'm able to eat everything except bread (I really choose not to) it makes me too full. So this Summer I'm attempting a 2piece, can't even remember the last time I bought a 2 piece! This was the best decision I have ever made before and would do it again in a heartbeat!
  3. I had my surgery June 4th (4 months out) I have lost 52 lbs, starting weight was 194, I had a lot of health issues.. I am not on any medication for thyroid or HTN.. It honestly took me about 6-8 weeks before I felt "normal" I finally can gulp water and eat anything except bread. I can eat bread but I feel like crap after. So I just stay away from it which had helped weight loss. Im 7 lbs away from my goal weight of 135. It had been the best decision of my life yet the hardest one of my life! Im healthier now and I have more energy! Stick to it and take one day at a time, I don't even think about it anymore.. Like it's a way of life! I can't help but smile everyday!

    5 weeks out pics

Yes! Literally for 2 weeks I cried almost everyday telling myself I was stupid for doing this and hating myself for putting myself through hell! I was depressed and it sucked! But as soon as I hit puréed I was able to chew food and felt so much better! Now at 5 weeks Im eating everything an feel awesome! Just get through these next couple weeks and you will feel better! And as soon as you see the scale move and people start the compliments you will feel great!
  5. Just wanted to post my progress because I can't believe 29 lbs has made such a huge difference! I had surgery June 4th and have gotten off 1:2 medications.. Pre surgery: 194 Day of surgery: 188 Today: 165 I only did 1 day of Milk of Mag I did not need a pre surgery diet. I can't fit into my clothes from before surgery and it feels amazing! I have about 35 more pounds to lose! I still have my BP meds to get off of. Hopefully that will happen soon. I would love to see more inspirational photos posted, it keeps me going! I have to say, the first 2 weeks were HELL!!! But if you can get through those hard times its SO worth it! I went back to work on Monday and I have so much more energy and I love it!!

    I'm here!

So wondered how you are feeling Day 2? I woke up feeling OK.. Pain/uncomfortable right where my actual stomach is. Have not had liquids yet, they said soon. My mouth is so dry!
  7. Thanks everybody! IV is in, my BP was actually normal which was surprising! I got stuck once in right arm with IV and it didn't work so on to the left hand! Ouch!! 1 more hour to wait! Getting there!
  8. Today is the day! Officially 3 hours to surgery and Im so ready!! They made me come 4 hours early so the waiting is killing me!!

    scared nervous and hungryyyy

My surgery is 6/4 also! No preop diet needed, just the day before cleanse, Im nervous for the weeks to come but excited for the future so I think that will help me get through these hard weeks! Good luck! Take care of yourself!
  11. So 3 days until my surgery and Im wondering what the favorites are for the liquid part of the diet? I know the normal, SF jello, crystal light, water, broth, etc. mostly worried about the protein? Did people use a specific kind. I know of the Unjury unflavored, is there any others that I can actually buy at a store instead of online? Any suggestions would help to creatively change up the dreaded liquid diet!! Thank you!!
  12. I am in the exact same boat! Super high BP, hypothyroid which makes it impossible to lose weight on my own! People just don't get it, especially if they have never struggled with weight!
  13. I really hate that comment, the other really annoying comment is " why are you having surgery, why don't you just really focus on doing te natural way with diet and exercise?" Ugh! Well I I could do it naturally, do you think I would resort to this.. As if we haven't tried that already, it obviously didn't work! Like as if we are taking the "easy" way out? God people can be so judgmental!!
