Although I understand everyones feelings, I think everyone comes here for support. My BMI has been up to US standers before, and Im sure without banding, it will agian. My thyriod is ruined all ready at my young age and so is my selfesteem. Im sure this is the case with most other lower BMI patients and the same understanding and support that we "lower BMI's" offer those here should be offerd to us. But then again that is just my oppinion. I understand what people are saying about health risks, but im quite sure we have thought of this ourselves and if we are willing to risk it, then it is as important to us as it was to anyone else here. And also I am quite sure we have done everything we could think of and all those silly diets and nothing has worked for us as well. This IS also our last attempt.

Sorry, I will look for that thread and bump it for u so u can get a better discription, I just dont think I got a really big responce on that thread. From what I understand it is not forbidin, but I know some people really have a HARD time with rice and dont even bother with it, others are ok.

Yes I looked here in the US. My BMI is 32, not only will insurance not cover it, but doctors dont want to do it even if u do self pay. Even the doctor I picked in TJ had to seriously think about it before he gave me the go ahead. I mean, I think it is silly. I told my doctor, "im short, If u wont do it now, I will go eat milkshakes for the next month gain 10 pounds and then I will meet ur requirements." And he agreed that that would not be the best way to do it. My BMI has been high enough at one point or another. I think he likes it at 34 or above. But good luck to you, and I really hope ur insurance will help u. Mexico was basically MY only option.

This guy sounds sooo like my x husband, I dont need u to dig, I can tell from his manipulive behavior hes a lier and a cheater. Thats prob why him and his wife seperated in the fist place if they did at all.

Kathy, I have the same worry about Mexico. I mean how horrible if I were to die in Mexico, specially since only 1 person knows I am going. How would my family react, what about my daughter? But lets look at all the people here who have been banded there and lived to post and post and post and post in this addictive website. Ok guys!!! Fess up and help us single girls out pphhuuullleeezzzz!! I tried to get some response on Eileenja's "is ur stomich loud?" thread.....but didnt really get much so here is its very own thread, I dont start them often so flatter me and gimme some insight guys! :cool: Here goes........When I get banded, I am not going to want to tell men about it when we are planning our first date, specially since i am not even telling my own family. So I am worried about him thinking im anorexix (lol that would be the day!!) the gurggles, the gas, the "strange noises" in general, the slimes, the PB's....so dish the dirt and spill some of ur most embarassing dating banded moments!!!!!!!!! Common since when did u guys get shy.
