jandrfprever32 got a reaction from Sleeve amber in Not getting enough protein or liquids in
Today makes two weeks since being sleeved. I was told I should be getting 68 oz of liquids and 68grams of Protein every day. The most liquids I've been able to get in is 38 oz and only 20 grams of protein. I wake up in the morning weak and dizzy . I know I'm not taking enough in,but I constantly feel full . I sip all day long on Protein Shakes , broth, Water, creamy Soups. I feel like its impossible to drink more. I'm kinda freaking out , I don't want to end up in the hospital . I need HELP!!!

jandrfprever32 got a reaction from annapatel in pregnancy after sleeve
May 15th I'll be 2 years post-op and I'm 29 weeks pregnant with a girl.. This is my second pregnancy , but first since being sleeved.. This pregnancy has been so different then then my first.. First of all I've had no morning sickness but have been very tired and I'm anemic and slightly hypoglycemic.. I'm way smaller this pregnancy however I have been way more uncomfortable this time around.... So far I've gained 15 pounds, the first trimester I didn't gain anything but once I get to 13 weeks I started putting on some weight.. I just had a ultrasound at 27 weeks and it looks like our baby girl is still growing right on schedule and appears to be healthy...

Omg the child like behavior on this thread is amazing yet dissapoining. Can everyone just end it. No one knows what happened exactly. They are both to blame. Just agree to disagree. There is no need for all of this.

jandrfprever32 reacted to LouiseC in regreting this whole thing
From recalling your pre surgery views it seems to me you were determined to regret this surgery before you even had it and I can not work out why you proceeded with it to be honest.
Thing is, you have done it now. There is little point in regret as it is not like you can go back and undo it. You made a choice and now you have to learn to work with the consequences of that choice. Only you can do that and it will involve changing the way you feel about it. Your feelings are your within your power to choose and you can. choose to feel differently about it all.
You don't have to be on these boards for more than a week before hearing all about stalls, especially at 3 weeks. You know this stuff already. What is it you are seeking to achieve by writing this OP? Is it attention you are after? Validation?
I know I seem harsh and I know I am blunt. I don't often notice posters, I more read the content than check to see who is saying it, so recurrent posters don't often stand out for me. But you have and I have to say it isn't in a positive way. I am noticing recurrent posts of negativity and really all of that is going to lead to self sabotage of your sleeve and, basically, a miserable life. Why choose to be miserable when you can choose to be happy?
Of course your clothes don't fit right, you just had bariatric surgery.
Of course your body shape is changing rapidly, you just had bariatric surgery.
Of course you can't eat what you want, you just had bariatric surgery.
Of course exercise feels hard right now, you just had bariatric surgery.
So you look dishevelled? Do something about it. Do your hair, give yourself a mani/pedi and a facial if you can't afford to get one done professionally. Choose not to look dishevelled.
Clothes hang loose? Use a belt, use a scarf, use a needle and cotton, use your head and use google for ideas on how to turn what you have into something that looks good and feels comfortable for little to no cost.
Choices. You have them. And make them knowing that you have to live with the consequences of the choices you make. Just like you now have to live with the consequences of making the choice to have bariatric surgery. You have to live with your decision, Janice, so you may as well chose to live happily.

I'm SLEEVED!!! Needless to say , I'm very excited! So yesterday sucked! Not only was I in pain and feeling sick from the surgery but I also started my period right after surgery . But after about 7 hour of some pretty intense pain , I started feeling so much better. Today I still feel sick every once and a while . However my pain is about a 2 on the scale of 1-10.

For me I like clean shaven men because 1. i don't like hair any other place than on a head and certain area of face. 2. if a person has hair under the arms after a shower(even w/ anti perspirant/deodorant )it can smell funky, this being said, hair traps smells from sweat and such. W/out hair, fresher & cleaner and that is jusy MY opinion. That goes for ladies area too. Though some like to argue the fact that hair is there to lessen bacteria from getting into your privates...I'd still shower, shave/wax and take my chances. Happy Sexing!!

So, I bought a bunch of Protein Shake samples and have been having one a day for Breakfast to see which ones I like. I usually offer/make my dad and hubby taste them just a single sip if they're around.
Today, I was offering a sip of the Cherry Synthrax nectar shake to the hubby and he told me it was nice and then he dropped the following bomb:
Yeah, I can drink those if you get them for our 2 week liquid pre-op diet.
    WHAT? "Our" ?????
Then he goes on to elaborate that he plans on doing the liquid pre-op diet with me as he figures he helped me get so fat along the way he can help me get skinny too.
    Too cute!
Anyways, I guess I'll have to ask my NUT about him doing it too...

Hello everyone, I wanted to see how many May 2013 sleevers there are! What are you doing at this point to prepare for surgery? What are your stats?
I am scheduled for May 15th. So excited, but nervous!! I am currently 260 and my highest was 268 in February. I plan to get down to at least 250 before the two week Protein diet prior to my surgery. My goal weight is 150 which I haven't been at in about 7 years! I started my journey in January of this year. I was fortunate enough that my insurance approved me without requiring a 6 month monitored diet. I have a good amount of support, didn't start off that way though. First responses were "you're taking the easy way out", so I took them to information seminars which completely changed their views (whew!). I am extremely excited for the surgery because it's a new me. I can completely change my life habits around and start feeling better about myself physically and mentally. When I think back, I've realized my weight has kept me from making friends, going in public, and just plain living life!
I would love to hear all of your stories thus far and how your journey to getting sleeved has been!
    Thanks!!

I'm 15 days out. Today is the 2nd day back to work and I'll see my Dr. later for the first follow up visit. Hoping I can start on purees tomorrow and thicker stuff like cottage chees and oatmeal. 28 lbs so far. Blessed not to have much nausea unless I swallow too much or eat too fast. Gas pains were the worst. I'm finding the Protein Shakes I make myself are good ( coconut or almond milk, whey Protein, greek yogurt and your fav fruit) , as are Premiere's, nectar fruit protein mixes you mix with Water, and Muscle Milk. My husband bought a Nutri-Bullet (made by Magic Bullet) and that will turn anything to liquid and preserve all the nutrients and Fiber in it - flaxseed, walnuts, spinach, kale, all fruits - this thing is amazing! If you buy it from the website, you can get this great book that gives you all kinds of recipes for the mixes. You get a LOT of nutrition packed into each cup you make. This is going to prove to be a great investment. Just drink the first few at night, at home, as they act as quite a cleanse in the beginning, until your body gets used to drinking pure nutrition.

    Hello All,
I would like reviews of Dr. Clayton Frenzel in Arlington-Dallas, Texas. I'm having band issues and need a revision doctor but want to make sure I pick the best one. I'm self pay which is a horrible thing since I'm not sure I can even do anything about the band if it is damaged.
I've searched and can't find much about Dr. Frenzel. I have had a consult with him and he and his staff is very nice. He spent a lot of time answering all my questions but I can't find many that have used him...which makes me nervous. He does his surgery out of Forest Park Medical Center which I understand is an excellent facility.
You may pm me here if you don't want to post in public.
    Thank you for your time.

Hi, I am a Dr. Clayton Frenzel patient. I was sleeved on the 11th, I will be 1 week post op on Friday. I had my procedure at the Frisco Medical Facility by Frenzel and the staff there gave him great reviews for completing surgeries and patients having speedy recoveries. I personally am doing well, no complaints and was up immediately walking around the facility. Be Blessed should you decide to go with him.

I think for a lot of people it's a fear of judgement. A reason for me is that I don't want to hear the story about the neighbors cousin twice removed who had the surgery and three days later they died. There are the stories of how someone's sisters mothers cousin lost 800 lbs and then regained 900. Also there is the famous "it's just a question of willpower" stories. It's tiresome and I can avoid them by not telling everyone my private business.
